I am properly looking forward to the next stage. The banner on the Norse (sorry marauders) is excellent.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Very nicely painted, any chance we get a group shot of this amazing army? so not really. I just have this sorry excuse for a photo. And these guys are deep in the closet now safe from the wife's judgemental eyes. There will be plenty army shots should we ever play that big game. ..and there are a couple slightly better pictures ~at the halfway point on page 3

That big knight unit is so stinkin' impressive! This shot shows just how big it is when related to everything else.
Great stuff!

What a monumental force! I appreciate the airshot and echo Mottdon's thoughts on the giant knight unit.
Amazingly impressive army.

It is indeed one of the mightiest Empire hosts I've ever seen. Though I do hope to match it with my Chaos Legions soon. The drums of war are sounding, soon the fate of Volganof must be decided.

26Mar2019 A bit of a sidetrack today, more Dogs of War. A hedge wizard. Alfons is not a bad guy per se, just a bit of a maniac. That did not go over well at the college and so he couldn’t graduate. But, his type is in high demand for any Landsknecht Kompagnie needs at the very least a bit of protection from enemy magic and nobody asks for a graduation certificate. I put a bit of effort into the cloak and the color gradient. I would call it ‘semi-successful’. And then I put together a little unit of duelists. They are in full color riot gear so they fit in with the pikemen. Quite fun to paint. I think I want to add in some light cavalry with lances next. But, low priority, what I really should be doing is building up the city of Volganof…

I think the hedge wizard looks cool and the cloak works.
Grassy at the bottom.

Alright. Scenery is happening. Trying to figure out the right colors for the walls. There are a lot of those to do so we better get it right. Test pieces first. Love that wizard! Are the duellists warlord games minis? Nope. All GW from the glory days.

I really like the stone colour on the left. What colours did you use if you don't mind me being nosey?

I agree. I like the left. Maybe add some moss growing up a few points and some green wash stains here and there and it'd look a little less "cookie cutter", if you want variance.
