The Warhammer Fantasy sixth edition rule book has a red cover. Seventh and eighth edition rule books continued this design. Very quickly players started calling the rule book "the big red book" or just "BRB".
Do you think GW will continue this trend when The Old World launches?

My guess is, they will use anything but red to show it is not Warhammer Fantasy 9ed.

I'm putting my bet on black, with gold detailing 👌

The logo is already a very clear throwback to the old design, I'd bet the book is going to be red.

Does it even matter? So long as it is faithful to Warhammer Fantasy, fixes the mistakes of 8th and previous editions and gives continual, equal support for all armies then I'll be interested in playing it regardless of what the rulebook looks like.

This is just meant to be an entertaining topic for discussion. Of coarse it doesn't matter.

Yes! Red, with the twin tailled comet emblazonned on a shield mounted over a pair of crossed hammers!! I would love this!!!! But I really have no idea what GW will do nor can I even think to try to imagine haha. I've learned the hard way that GW is like the US gov in the recession episode of south park seemingly cutting off the heads of chickens and letting the body fall where it may on some grand board to make their decisions.

I would appreciate red, if only for the consistency.

Given how much it's going to cost; it'd better be in gold with silver engravings

Well, the new logo reveal might be confirming the rulebook is going to be blue.

Well, the new logo reveal might be confirming the rulebook is going to be blue. I don't have facebook. But apparently GW made a WH:TOW group on there and showed some new artwork. Notice there is a date under the skull: 2276. In the Warhammer timeline, I believe 2276 is about two and a half decades before the great war against Chaos. -----------I'm guessing this is the rulebook cover image... I'd be very happy with that as the rulebook cover. Yes it's not red as has always been the theme for Warhammer Fantasy, but as AoS seems to have poached the red cover theme (certainly if the 3rd Edition Battletomes for it are anything to go by), blue is a fine substitute.
