I feel like the time is right to make a dwarf book circling around the idea that during the end times a small force of dwarfs have stumbled on ancient scrolls detailing the stream powered creations from times past. After all, the empire lore state a similar origin of the steam tank back to dwarven design. Imagine stream driven cav. Thoughts?

Yes this could be a very cool variant army list for Dwarfs -- do you have any finished figures to represent them or in the works?

Exactly. It'll take some conversion work, but when I get time I'll work up some models to represent

Yes in deed. What about making end of times lists for all those who were left behind?

Can we PLEASE institute Anchient Golems? That is one of the biggest things that I've ever wanted! Oh - and make the AoD useful again? Maybe an Airship Fortress? Man, the list goes on and on!

The beer tank! It has a platform up top where 5 thunderers go, they just are not in this photo.

I liked The AoD (which I assume means Anvil of Doom) on wheels. The new model is stationary, but... it had to get to the battlefield somehow. Unless every battle with an AoD is some bad guys attacking an established dwarf stronghold. And who in their right mind would do thaaaaaat?

Lol, I just imagined the Dwarfs running out there and quickly carving out some stones to place the Anvil on! They are impressive craftsmen after all. And well, since they carry their kings around on huge thrones and shields and STILL manage to fight, I don't see them having a problem toting an anvil around. -But, oh geez, do I want that useful again! It's such a cool model!

If I had a job in the Warhammer World - I would be the craftsman that supports the Dwarf army by digging all the entrenchments before the battle proper. This would include bullwarks for Cannons. It would include gassing up the fleet of Gyrocopters. Yes, all five of them. mottdon It would include carving stones for the Anvil of Doom to sit upon. Also, I would get to hit up the pub early, whilst the rest of my stunty pals were out there fighting and laying the smack down with hammers and axes.

I have to admit, being the bartender at Bugman's Brewery seems like a pretty good job. Even if Goblins burned it down with me in it!

Today, I was daydreaming and imagined a mechanized spider like the bad guy (Artimus?) drove in the cheesy 1999 movie "Wild Wild West". For the Dwarfs, not a spider persay. Rather a multi-legged mechanical machine that looks like an animal. Maybe a giant Badger?
Legs (rather than wheels or a tread) to crawl up and over the rocky crags. A flamethrower, rather than a proper 10lb round cannon shot gun.
Put it on a 100mm x 100m base. I don't even thing it would need steam points. Just a silly profile. M WS BS S T W I A LD Save Ward 5 4 4 5 5 5 2 5 10 2+ 5+
-Ignores some terrain (rocks, walls between 1in a 2in high) -Other terrain totally bones it (rivers, woods)
Weapons: either, Flamethrower (Template, S5, no armor saves) No misfire [??] Machine Gun (ArtDice + D6, S4, ArmPiercing)
Getting the legs just right would be tough. Spindly enough to move the machine proper. But NOT so spindly it looks frail or elven (which are represented by the same Rune in Dwarven script).
