Is the doombull or GBS your general? And what Lore are you taking on the GBS? (I'm assuming Shadow on the 2 bray shamans).

I want another Doombull to fly around but need End of Times for that. So yes one Doombull general and I'm thinking shadow on everyone.

I'd probably put the great bray in the Gor unit in the opposite corner to the bsb. That way he can take advantage of the beast banner and the unit has enough bodies to absorb any damage from miscasts. You could put him in the Bestigor but I found when I did that, he often struggled to damage their preferred targets. If they had the standard of discipline and he was the general then he would have to go in them to maximise leadership.

Would death be an option for the bray? I still want a flybull some day...

Death is an option on the great bray. I personally prefer shadow or beasts, but I also kit my shaman to be a murderhouse in close combat. Jeweled dagger and either the fencers blades, brass cleaver, or steel claws are all options I like. If you can manage to get savage beast off on him the man[beast] can generate a LOT of power dice for himself in the next magic phase.
I like your list the only thing I could say is your unit of 10 Gor is a bit too small. They're only LD7 and they'll most likely be outside of the generals range, they only need to take 3 casualties in the shooting phase before they're taking a panic test. I'd consider making them bigger.
Let us know how it works!

I know death is a popular lore but I've never used it so can't really comment from user experience. Theoretically it would work. I've never been a fan of it and not because I'm an honourable sort who finds sniping a bit dastardly 😉 but mainly because I've seen too many plans that just seem to involve fly to the edge of a battle line and purple sun. Sniping characters is fine but we don't lack combat characters who could Butcher them and with beastman average leadership you may struggle to wound some enemy. Doom and darkness is basically a reverse wildform. You can also gain additional magic dice but Beastmen can get those anyway via plenty of other means. For these reasons I prefer shadow or beasts However from having had it used against me, it's a bitch lol Edit: ryryak posted at the same time as me. Fully agree with his comments

The only time I take death magic is in Storm of Magic games. Beastmen don't really have the LD to reliably snipe enemy characters (although monsters and chaff are fair game) and I'm also not a fan of purple sun; that "tactic" is entertaining ONCE, then it just feels underhanded every time after that. Soulblight is awesome (who doesn't like crippling S AND T on the enemy? Boostable to affect them all too!), the LD debuff (Doom and Darkness) is great for crippling steadfast and forcing failed fear/terror; but I THINK it was FAQ'd that it doesn't effect inspiring presence (i.e. I cast it on a unit, they're now -3 LD; NO PROBLEM I'LL JUST USE MY GENERALS LD AS HE'S UNAFFECTED -or- I cast it on your general; NO PROBLEM I'LL JUST USE MY BASE LD OF 8) *It can't just be that unit is -3 to whatever LD they are entitled to have; it's a bummer*
Fun anecdote: I was playing a 2v2 Storm of Magic game and had been paired against a Lizardmen opponent. He had 2 Slann and 3 units of Saurus. I flew my Daemon Prince into close combat with a Slann block, then in the magic phase I irresistibled a boosted purple sun. Killed one of his Slanns, roughly 80 Saurus, and got our side approximately 20 more power dice for that magic phase due to that ONE spell. We were all laughing about it and having a great time, but boy do I feel dirty for that still. My consolation was that I rolled a 4 on the miscast, and then rolled low and ended up getting the Daemon Prince sucked into the Warp.
The trade was worth it.

Fighter mage...I like that. Need to look into that. Would also like a jabberslythe in there but you have to choose.

Only because he will be in the Bestigor so the standard of discipline will give him LD 9. It means the doombulls can do their own thing. I'm still considering dropping one doombull for a beastlord though and bumping up the Bestigors.

So much good tactica here. If I wasn't embarrassed to play with half-painted minis, I'd get a game in tomorrow with the Beasts.

Half-painted? Yeah, that would be embarrassing. Hmm. I think two rats out of 300 were painted in my last game. Beastmen might be double that ;D Empire is good though

It's a slippery slope - One day you're playing with base coated and non-flocked Gors.
The next, you're using plastic Sesame Street toys to represent Gorgons. (guilty, btw)
