Love the green! Question: Do you want a "glowing effect" or a "poisonous blade" look? Right now, it looks more like the latter. If you want a glowing effect, all you have to do is drybrush a little of that green on the figure, brushing away from the blade. Heavy up on the areas closer to the actual blade. That'll give you a proper glow. You can look at my Ogre Firebelly as a reference, here: eefl.freeforums.net/thread/49/mottdons-ogre-kingdoms-army?page=4. Great color scheme though!

Modtton thank you for the tips ! Your Firebelly looks awesome, I see what you mean. I will try it on my next characters but right now for the grave guards I will keep it simple. I just want the green to look kind of magical. I have 40 of these dudes to paint so... I have started to work on them yesterday and here are the first photos. Nothing too fancy, just dry brush and wash, but I think that the horde will look good once finished.

Little update on the painting. I’m now working on the command and things are starting to take form. I decided to give them magic looking armors as well as the swords to help differentiate them from the rest of the unit: [/url]

When I was young I painted the same grave guards, but I never got the command squad and always wanted to get them. It feels very good to paint them today.

Well, there he is all painted. I am not 100% happy with it but it will be ok for gaming purposes. The gold color is really a pain in the ass to work with. And I’m still waiting for these bretonnian stickers to add on all my dudes shields and banners. Pretty sure it will look awesome afterwards.

Hey there, I was away for a week of holidays but came back yesterday and got to work on my army today. I magnetized the grave guards so now I can use them for battle even if they are not finished. I kept going with the painting as well, it’s long and boring to work on this horde but I will get through it. Good news is, I finally received the bretonnians transfers ! And I also started painting my mounted wight king BSB and his Huge banner. I am having nightmares just thinking about painting that thing, it’s very detailed. Anyway, we will see how it goes. Photos below. Seeya !
