Last army in the above pic is legions of chaos.
•Friday night we did a game of Triumph and Treachery. All 8 weekend players joined in on this. We did four teams of 2 players each. My lizards ended up together with dark elves. The two of us ended up winning that game.

Undead legions won the event.
Was a great time. For the tournament I won 1 of the 4 rounds. I feel like I am still learning the book and stats. But by game 4 I did feel like I had a better understanding about how to play them and what I had done wrong in some of the games.

I saw some of the photos or the T&T game from first hobby (always forget which of your group that is here). Looked great, especially the use of the double table.

And a few more photos with brief narrative. 3,000 point game at deployment. My lizards vs. undead. Undead had a big unit of 18 crypt horrors that I didn’t deal with properly. So I ended up getting crushed. Was still fun, had some minor victories around the table in other combats. 4,000 point game at deployment. Lizards vs daemons. This game had great back and forth. Turn 1 magic dice left me with four dispel dice and him with more than six power. He threw six at the six spell in metals and got it off on temple guard. I tried dispelling but with four dice couldn’t do it. I lost 20 of 28 minis in the unit on a 5+! Bad roll! But latter in the game his beast of nurgle unit disappeared after losing a combat by just a few when they rolled a 12 for break test! There was a huge combat in the middle which lasted many turns and involved lots of monsters. I had 5 monsters on the table which is a personal record for me in a game. I ended up losing but was in it till the end, we both took heavy casualties. Was a great game.

I was happy to be involved. Great weekend, good times had by all. Anytime you can kill some Quarrelers and stomp some Skinks, i'm in. Good venue, couple glasses of wine, great T/O. Yeah budday.
FYI, I was the Nurgle Legions player.

Love the creativity in those armies, undead Shrek is absolutely hilarious.
What are those giants in the second dwarven army meant to be?

The event was an escalation tournament. The armies for the last round were 3,000 points from the army book plus 1,000 points of a mercenary ally using rules from Triumph and Treachery, unholy pact (undead or daemon) or monsters from storm of magic. So that dwarf army used 5 giants at 200 points each.

Yep, 5 Giants on the field. It was a lot of fun. Was it a winning strategy, not really, but it was great to see what would happen with them. The number of times my opponent rolled a 1 or 2 to pass his initiative to avoid "Thump with Club" or I would only roll 2 wounds with it was unreal. The dice did not favor the big guys.

That's all the wonders of playing with giants. They certainly isn't always the best option but lord are they fun to have! Them acting like a bunch of drunken idiots who barely manage to get a wound is just thematic.
