My dwarfs are blue and cream. Not my choice though as that's the color they were when I bought them.
The blue is growing on me, although I want to do a darker shade then what I have at the moment. (currently they're ultramarine blue, I would rather something more like regal blue)
But it all depends on what airbrush colors my local hobby store has.

I had some unexpected hobby time recently and I'd like to think I put it to good use. I finished up the second batch of Rangers and now have a solid unit of twenty. Here they are coming down from the mountain. Some close-ups. They are a mish-mash of left-over dwarfs. Some I like better than others (my favorite is the champion having a frothy brew in a Stein). I gave them a mix of weapons. Ultimately, I think I'd want to upgrade to Avatar of War Rangers and make these guys into regular warriors or quarrelers.

Alright and since I've now completed 2500pts (plus a few spare characters) it was time for an army shot. so...wait for it....drum rolls....wait for it. Eventually, I'd like to add a couple more war machines to swap in and out, then the rangers I mentioned before. And, like everybody else I dream of having a big old unit of the beautiful metal longbeards. I have nine at the moment and am not willing to pay silly money on ebay so need to get lucky on a flea market. One day... For now I am rather happy with this little army. Started in the spring so it didn't even take too long. Done and done! Thank you guys for you comments, both here as well as over in the army list section. Very motivating and it helped a lot with getting this done. Cheers!

Sweet army! They look like quite the sturdy clan! Excellent paint job on all of them! You have much to be proud of!

Yep they look sweet. In hindsight I wish I’d kept a unified scheme on mine as it looks really good.

Hey guys! Two and a half years flew by. I had a few nice games with these dwarfs. Quite like how they play. Not too much castling going on. And as a bonus, this is by far the easiest army to transport in a compact little box. For once I stuck with the plan and did not gather up a pile of unpainted models, rather kept looking for a couple war machines to swap into the list. Recently I scored this lovely old organ gun (not with the proper crew but, I made do). Also I realize, I've never posted close-ups of my Lord (though he did make it into the army shot). Let me rectify this, I present to you Good King Alfred, stout and proud. Sticking with the plan, maybe add another war machine, a flame cannon would be cool. And I'd be interested to convert a gyro bomber to my liking. But, it'll be slow and steady, the dwarven way, so might be a couple years!

Lovely classic model. The basing detail is a nice touch. Everyone loves the lord too.
