Hey Gang, I got an email today RE: The official GW Survey games-workshop.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=136827b843bb2808e5ae537dd&id=122b5f7b27&e=9187ce9dc2That’s the link, ripped straight out of my email. It should work for all of y’all. I took 15 minutes and did the whole thing. Some TOP 10 excerpts: 1. DO: Bringing back a GW supported, square-base, rank-and-file, version of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. 2. DISLIKE: the “Forced Newness” of Age of Sigmar that we all must accept. 3. I don’t like Kings of War (or play it) but have some of their minis. 4. I don’t like WarmaHordes (or play it) but have some of their minis. 5. 9TH AGE = HOT GARBAGE 6. Ideally, a version NOT for the WAAC type gamer (not a tournament version). You know, just for fun for any of us that have 20 years’ worth of minis on square bases that don’t want to rebase the entire universe. 7. It is concerning to me that I have no real (officially sanctioned) GW way to play with my old square base models. 8. STILLMANIA, brother 9. I get it, you want to sell new stuff. I buy new stuff. I took some (2 boxes, 2 units of 3) of the new Tzaangor Skyfires and based them up for my Tzeentch Beastmen army. On square bases! I’ll keep buying your new stuff. 10. IMPORTANT: I want you to know that I feel like a lost orphan of an outsider with my square based dudes. I just want an official format to play!!!! I guess I would advocate all of us taking said survey, maybe (just maybe) they’ll listen.

Oh, also… I answered one question with something along the lines of “Don’t tell me I can just play Age of Sigmar with my square based miniatures, ‘cause that is absolute horseshit” I want ranks!!! I want files!!!!

Yeah, I will fill it out too... All I want is that they keep updating the faq once or twice a year and maybe do a war scroll or two for new units to be added officially.

Lol, I JUST finished filling out that same survey which was in my inbox as well! I came straight here to do the same thing that you just did, too! Too funny!
I let them have both barrels, in a polite and educated manner as well. I informed them that there was so much opportunities that they were missing out on, especially with Total War Warhammer games taking off like a rocket! AOS should be a mere gateway for getting new players into collecting more and more models, culminating in games of 8th edition.
I went on and on, but that was the main gist.

Well, people from my area just literally don't play now so bringing 8th back would bring them customers back. It was always stupid to try and force age of shitmar on people.

Lol, I JUST finished filling out that same survey which was in my inbox as well! I came straight here to do the same thing that you just did, too! Too funny! Beat ya to it by seconds, sucka. My responses were fair, professional, and I tried to be upbeat (positive?) while maintaining my general theme: AoS is not equal to WFB

**"Cole" comes before "Mott" in their mass email sequencer, so I had a huge head start, obv.

I filled out this survey as well! The gist was Warhammer was great I don't really play any of their games now but I occasionally buy some of their models. Also their models are too expensive.
I also advocated for a way to play fantasy RANKED MASS BATTLES. This is what I want, not skirmish games.
Hopefully they actually listen.

Oh, yeah! I kept bringing up price every chance I got too! I didn't really touch AOS other than to say that they needed to have a way to produce models for BOTH AOS and 8th edition, without having to buy square bases separately! I mentioned eBay quite a lot too. I'm sure they hate that. If they see that they are losing direct sells to eBay, then they might take note.
I suppose we'll see just how much they pay attention to things like this. Hopefully, it's not just some marketing ploy to direct attention their way at Christmas...

I said something to the effect of: I won't buy entire armies of your models anymore, what I instead do is look at other manufacturers and go with their models instead and supplement my armies with GW models. Or use ebay and pick up my armies secondhand now.
EDIT: I also thanked them for not discontinuing a lot of their old line and asked them to keep it around as I like having ready access to their models if I need them. (things like gyrocopters and a lot of the more rare selections that are hard to find on other sites)

Surveys like this are a great way for customer's to voice their opinion and let the manufacturer know what they need to do to improve, but they ONLY work if the company LISTENS. They don't have the greatest track record of that in the past few years. I'll hope that they are turning a leaf and getting back to the way they used to perform, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it.
I also find it quite convenient that they come out with this survey at the beginning of the month where they need to make good sales for Christmas and have good numbers for next year's reports. What better way to gain favor with customers than to ask their opinion? "What do you think? ...yes...yes..yes...very good points! Now, why don't you check out all of these shopping options we've provided for you incase you didn't already know about them?"
Call me cynical I suppose.

They have got better back in the days the had official forum when unrest got too high they closed the forum. When they started on Facebook I expected them to do similar and just drop facebook but they haven't so clearly is a glimpse of hope.

The timing is suspicious. Right before Christmas?
I'll believe it when I see it though. In the meantime ebay is my friend for new models, although I'm not buying anything for a while until I paint (some...half of?) what I already have.
