The rules KevinC wrote for TK are a good addition which help them tremendously.
Are these the rules you are referring to?...

EIGHTH EDITION FOR LIFE PRESENTS: THE TOMB KINGS ERRATA
The following erratum applies to all Tomb King armies in the Dark Tidings Campaign, and it is
recommended that this errata apply in all games involving Warhammer Armies: Tomb Kings. Note, these
rules only apply to the Warhammer: Tomb Kings army list, and do not apply to the Undead Legions army
list described in Warhammer: Nagash.
Hierophant
• The army Hierophant has the Regeneration special rule. If a unit with Nehekhara Undead special rule is
joined by the Hierophant, the entire unit gains Regeneration (5+).
Additionally, the army Hierophant may replace any of their spells with the following new signature spell:
Arise Ancient Warriors of Nehekhara, ARISE!!! Cast on 16+
(Signature Spell, Hierophant only)
Chanting the ancient incantations of the Mortuary Cult, the Hierophant awakens an entombed cadre of
undying warriors buried deep beneath the desert sands.
The spell summons a unit of Skeleton Warriors, which is immediately deployed in the Magic phase
following the rules for Entombed Beneath the Sands (see page 29 of Warhammer: Tomb Kings) and within
18” of the caster.
To determine the size of the newly summoned unit of Skeleton Warriors, the Tomb King player rolls 3D6.
The totaled result is the number of Skeleton Warrior models that comprises the new unit. The unit is
equipped with hand weapons, shields, and light armour. If the majority of the summoned models in the unit
are armed with spears, then the unit is also equipped with spears. The unit also includes a musician,
standard bearer, and Master of Arms.
If the unit is forced to roll on the Mishap table, treat a Buried Too Deep result as a Reclaimed by the Desert
result. Units summoned by this spell may not be dispelled and are not worth any victory points if destroyed.
Resurrected Wounds
• All spells, magic items, and special rules that resurrect/heal Nehekhara Undead models may also heal
character models with the Nehekhara Undead special rule as well.
The Restless Dead Lore Attribute
• The Restless Dead Lore Attribute recovers D6 Wounds’ worth of models, rather than D3+1. Units with
the Animated Constructs rule can only ever recover a maximum of 3 Wounds in this way per Magic Phase.
Tomb King Chariots
• Tomb King Chariots have a Strength value of 5.
Dust Goblins
• Dust Goblins may be taken as Core units (see Warhammer: GROM for details).
