I wonder if that pushes more to AoS or different non GW systems

Mixed bag. Lots of folks are coming into AoS from 8th ed this year based on social media. Some folks are just despondent and headed out into other directions. I actually quite regularly point people who are quitting 9th to this forum including yesterday.
But I think 9th is a fine game - I want people who for whatever reason aren't happy with it to know there are lots of options and they don't have to despair (which seems to be an emotion I see.)

There's nothing wrong with playing the game you want. But this community is shrinking, not growing. AOS and 9th have already overtaken the community. And I get it. People wanted an updated edition back at the end of 8th. I see the draw of a system like 9th. I'm not super interested in it but it makes sense why 8th isn't being supported as much. Sigmar or 9th look like the only path forward to have the type of community we saw back in 8th. Unless GW decides to reboot WFB. And you're correct that people still play third edition. They also have a pretty healthy community (compared to 8th) but it's actually based on collecting/painting vintage models. Very few actually play third. Most of them just hate the modern rules set, so are stuck playing that weirdo edition. *Raises hand* I mean, does one person who never got the chance to play Warhammer Fantasy (Other than AoS) before finding the fun people of this forum count as a growing community? Honesty, I think having more AoS players join in to play fantasy is the way forward, though I am the first to admit I am incredibly bias.

That would be great. Not sure it will happen that much but what do I know...

I watched their High Elves vs Orcs and Goblins 8th Edition battle report (Miniwargaming just recently uploaded it).
I wasn't really feeling it to be honest. I liked the length of it as an hour is usually all I can spare for a single YouTube video but the enthusiasm didn't really seem to be there and the OnG player had a bit of a whinge at the end which was unfortunate.
I like their filming and setup but didn't really enjoy that (their most recent?) battle report.

I feel a bit that in the last few months, they’ve almost got tired of filming same Fantasy armies.

"Of course there will be more fantasy games in the future, but for now we are going to focus on Age of Sigmar" Official confirmation that this is actually just a break, not a full stop.

Hey, I don't know if you guys watched their videos of late, but they outright stated that they will be doing some more Old World Wars episodes in the future, however it won't be a regular show anymore. It might be biweekly, or monthly, or even just when a guest wants to play, but they will be returning to 8th edition.

As long as they make them available on YouTube for free, then that's the only thing that'll keep me watching them. Vault membership is out for me.
