Hooah. The Leviadon is mine! Came painted like this, loved the scheme but it was a bit of work to fix the broken due to postage bits.

Why am I reminded of Disc World now.... nice, I didn’t even think about the combination of his elephant and turtle purchases. He just needs a chest with legs now.

Finally broke down and started collecting a new army...
Praise be to the Father of Darkness. It's time to get a Chaos Dwarf army together! Ordered a bunch of stuff from a 3D printer in Australia, then found some of it cheaper in the UK afterwards... Gaaagh! Anyways, at least the rest will be a bit cheaper.

I remember you announcing it on Lustria... I look forward to seeing your models both there and here 😀

Chaos Dwarfs are amazing. Should be a really rewarding project.

I picked up 30 6th Ed (I think) plastic orcs at our club show’s bring and buy table (15 archers and 15 warriors). My main regret was not buying more of them but I was very restrained!

Ordered this beauty off my favourite source of second-hand Warhammer books (Oxfam) about a week ago, and it arrived today (shipped a bit late, by got here in the end)! It cost only £18, and is in very good condition - it even still has the smell of newness in its pages!

Unfortunately it's a book that was only half baked. They deserved better 😞 Yeah, I don’t understand why it went wrong really, given Andy Hoare wrote the very good Lizardmen book for 7th and Phil Kelly is renowned for writing stuff that is at best powerful and at worst broken OP - surely, with those two at the helm and the fact it was the last 7th Ed Book so wasn’t negatively subject to powercreep, meant nothing should have been able to stop it being one of the best books of that Edition, particularly given the excellent Skaven one was the previous one and it has been able to stand the test of 8th. However, the lore is largely very good, the art’s great and I do think the 7th Ed one gives the army a bit more combat clout with rules like Primal Fury, the revamped Bloodgreed and Despoilers, which the 6th Ed book lacked, it’s just a real shame it did so at the cost of the Ambush and Raiders rules which helped compensate for their lack of armour against shooting, and losing Marks. I’m still pleased with it, though, particularly given I’m not much of a competitive player so the underpowered nature of the army won’t hurt so much, and I can use it to inform my own 8th Edition version that’s in the works and will be arriving in the Army Book and Expansion Development section of this very forum in the near future.

I think the book is fine in general. It’s mainly the points values that screwed it up.

I really disliked it lacking the option for marks, especially when the book has special characters that are such blatant worshippers of specific gods, it is as if at the last minute they decided to take it away as an option.
Not that I play Beastmen but my most regular opponent does and I hate when rules or in this case the lack of rules go against the established lore.

So, I found this online at a game store in Colorado. So happy to have this and got it for regular price too! My orc and goblin army is slowly growing!
