Great hydra. Lovely bright fins. You actually used a similar scheme to the one I used for my Kharibdyss.
The family photo of the trio is great.

Really nice, I like the bright fins. Who's your favourite hydra?

Probably the newest one, though that's mainly on paint-job. I didn't like it when it came out - the sock-puppet heads, and that it diverged from the traditional "draconic" look. I've grown to appreciate it though.
The old GW one is a bit gawky, but I like the feel of it; pity I painted it so basically. A pale underbelly would improve it a lot, and maybe one day I'll go back and do that. The multiple heads on it don't look as natural as on the other hydras.
The Mierce one is the coolest model but I think I painted that too dark. It also needs more heads.

And here's my final Druchii monster: I'm onto my unit of the AoS "Khinerai" Harpies, which look like they'll be a nightmare as there's so much fine detail, after which I've just got characters left for this army. Unless I also paint my old resin Harpies, whose models I hate so much I'm not sure I can bring myself to finish them.

Oh I love the Kharibdis! He looks great! I got two years ago off eBay, but only one of them had the two "taskmasters". I just split them up, and perched each on a rock. It works.
I highly recommend you taking a "monster mash" list in a game of yours, led buy a Beastmaster (I prefer him to be mounted on a Manticore due to the shear volume of attacks he can produce and the fact that he can fly, allows the Beastmaster to get in optimal position in order to best utilize his rules.) He's expensive, to be sure, but it makes for some massive fun if you load up on Hydras, Kharibdis', Medusas, etc. I played a game a while back using him in a monster mash games Lizardman. One of the best games I've ever had! DE for the win due to the Beastmaster's abilities.

I did have a ridiculous Monster Mash list I was considering for Riotville this year (which may still happen): - High Beastmaster (general), Manticore, Enchanted Shield, Talisman of Endurance - 335 points
- Master (BSB), Manticore, Heavy Armour, Sea Dragon Cloak, Shield, Lance, Cloak of Twilight - 313 points
- 33 Dreadspears (or Bleakswords), Full Command, Standard of Discipline - 342 points
- 5 Dark Riders, Repeater Crossbows, Shields, Musician - 110 points
- War Hydra, Fiery Breath - 180 points
- War Hydra, Fiery Breath - 180 points
- War Hydra, Fiery Breath - 180 points
- Kharibdyss - 160 points
This came in at exactly 1,800 points. Crazy list, would probably lose most games, but be great fun to play. I don't have a second Manticore (yet) but that's easy to resolve. Pity you can't fit a Dragonlord in a 1,800 point list.

Sounds like so much fun! From what I remember, I had a very similar list, but I think I had given my BSB a Dark Pegasus (which is a monstrous beast, though I wouldn't use the Beastmaster's ability on it, unless absolutely necessary) so that I could get him where I needed him quickly and save on points, I had my two Khrybdis' and one Hydra. I also took Dreadshards instead of spears to add in some cover fire with a Lv2 scroll caddy in with them. I don't exactly remember what I had on my Beastmaster, but I do recall giving him the Chill Blade. He was a FORCE in that game. Most of the time I wound up giving his mount the extra attacks, so with his upgrades, they were a terror on the battlefield!

Khinerai Harpies completed - not fun to paint but cool models. I gave them the helmets because they're easier to paint than the bare heads and I'm lazy. Both versions look cool. I still have some crappy old Harpies to paint, which I guess I should eventually get done. I think I can improve on GW's shitty paintjob for them at least. Painting tally for the year: 14 painted, 11 bought. Finally ahead! Except Cursed City is arriving next week, plus it's my birthday Wednesday too...

If I didn't already have a bunch of Reaper succubi for harpies - and a bunch of Daemonettes I'm planning to convert for the Cult of Slaneesh - I would get some Khinerai to use for the part. Those are very nice models.
Nice work on the paint job, too!

Reaper Bolt Thrower - I haven't painted a particular crew for this yet: I made a start on my ugly old GW Harpies but probably won't work on them again now until May.

The harpies look awesome! Very dynamic and the helmets suit them well.
And I also find myself building kits with the attitude of 'how not to make this a chore' recently.
The mark of a seasoned painter I tell myself (it's probably laziness though).

More Harpies, not quite so good looking this time: Tally for the year: 20 models painted... 93 got. And more still to come when GW send me that missing Cursed City sprue. I've got a big backlog for the year!
