Exceptional. Great with the blood, it looks really viscous.

Damn, that is amazing work. Quite possible my favourite paint job I've seen on this model! Is that blood effects over metallics for the red?

Thanks And yes Mallo it's Blood for the Blood God over silver paint - recipe: Underneath the red, the body of the statue is silver - based Leadbelcher, washed Nuln Oil, drybrushed Stormhost Silver. I very thickly layered over Blood for the Blood God (it needs to be thick to get the right effect - no "two thin coats" here), mixed with varying levels of Abaddon Black, which really helps to get a deeper shade to it. Blood for the Blood God has a gloss finish to it, which is what gives it that shiny look, while the way the paint flows means you still have some silver highlights showing through at the edges. You could probably achieve something similar with normal red paint followed by a gloss varnish if you didn't want the metallic look to it. I've finished my Scourgerunner Chariot - it didn't photograph brilliantly and has come out a bit dark: My painting standings for the year - painted 3 models (Bloodwrack Shrine, Cauldron of Blood, Scourgerunner Chariot), bought 11 (mainly Ogres). The backlog grows!

Great looking cauldron and chariot, if the never ending saga of trying to buy a 100x60 base for my cauldron ever concludes i'll definitely be using yours as inspiration!

Great stuff. Those cold ones look magnificent! Indeed. The scale colour variation makes them pop.

Dreadlord on Cold One: Master battle standard bearer on Cold One: And a Sorceress - on Cold One, of course: Painting tally for the year: 7 models vs 11 bought. Closing that gap.
