They're looking great, brother! It's tempting me to actually paint up my Black Dragon too! (Like you, mine has been sitting incomplete for a couple of years. For whatever reason, I can't bring myself to paint it up.)
The Dreadlord looks great! I love how dark it is around his eyes! Really makes them pop and gives him a super menacing appearance! I can feel his hatred!
I totally agree with you on the female sorceresses. Those models suck. There's something way off about their proportions. Not to mention, that there's just simply not that much going on with the sculpt. They actually led me to looking for alternate mountable DE Sorceress characters. There's quite a few out there! Good thing though, is that I've found the stand alone GW models MUCH more pleasant to paint!
I'm loving your Malus kit bash, btw! I've been seriously considering doing that myself, since I'm not all that keen on the old GW one and he's such a prominent DE character, that I want to do him justice! I'll be watching what you do with great interest!

IF you can find the old metal Malus, it's not THAT hard to bend his legs in a touch, and build up the saddle a bit to fit him on the new cold ones.
For a bonus, you can even transplant Spite's head onto one of the new cold ones without looking too unusual next to the rest of the unit. The hardest part of that conversion is not breaking the reins when you cut them free of the original head and trim the neck up to fit Spite's head.
Some day I really do have to get a decent camera...

Awesome job with the dragon. I know how long time it can take to finish one as i have been starring at my forest dragon since January 😬

Where does one get those anymore? I can't seem to find them on the GW website.

Amazing looking unit. The little bits of light blue along with your amazing teeth/spines (all those steps you mentioned you hobby savant) really make the models pop.
One of the very best looking units of cold ones I've ever seen.

DOH! Yeah, right there in plain sight. Thanks! EDIT: Sedge, I've done a couple in a very similar color scheme, right down to the yellow eyes, but I don't have the blue markings on mine. And I have to say, that bright blue pops in a very visually distinctive manner. It's such a small thing, but it makes yours look way better than mine.

Great unit of riders, how long did they take to complete?

Great unit of riders, how long did they take to complete? 10-11 days at maybe 5 hours per day on them? It wouldn't have been possible without the coronavirus lockdown - it would've taken months then. As for those blue markings, I've got Mottdon's feedback to thank for those. The initial few I'd done were quite dark and not so visible. It was mixing things up with some much brighter blue markings as he suggested, that gets them to really stand out.
