Classic bolt thrower (you can't beat a warmachine with feet), plus converted crew. They're spares from the Lothern Skycutter, with Dark Riders heads and Corsair arms. The bolt is from the Scourgerunner Chariot kit (and still needs some green stuff work). The aim is for the crew to work in either a DE or HE force. I got the bolt thrower from ebay, and it came with these bits too - can anyone identify where they're from/what they're for, as I don't think they're part of the bolt thrower kit?

The crew looks awesome! And yeah, I could totally see them in either a DE or HE army.

A Glade Lord complete: The next Elves I'll do will probably be my Cold One Knights, but I don't expect that to be until February at the earliest.

Damn I really want that model but I haven’t seen it for a reasonably price in years.

Nice Glade Lord Sedge, I like how you’ve picked out such details as the gems and cloak.

Oh hey, look - January 2019 I said I'd get my Cold One Knights done in February. Well, not quite. They're still not done but they're near the top of the list, as this is my Year of the Elf - specifically, the Dark Elf! Dark Elves are my first WFB army - it was the look of them, and especially Cold One Knights, that got me back into collecting GW miniatures and made me opt for WFB instead of the 40k I'd player when I was younger. I painted some Dark Elves in my early days of collecting, but as you can see from the first page of this thread, the painting standard wasn't very high. The army has languished unloved as I've focused on Undead, Chaos, Dwarves and Orcs & Goblins. It's about time the Dark Elves got the painting treatment they deserved. First up, my Battle Standard Bearer (on foot - I think I've got another converted one on Cold One): This was the first time I successfully used waterslide transfers - I knew I couldn't leave a big ol' banner like that empty, and I sure as hell wasn't freehanding it. Next up was finishing off my Black Dragon - I'd painted the body yeaaaars ago but for some reason never completed it. Well it's done now. The saddle is magnetised so I can switch the riders around - I've got two Dreadlords/Masters and two Sorceresses, both from this kit. They're shared with my Pegasi (see below); at the moment only one rider is done and he's for a Pegasus, so the dragon is pictured without a rider. Shamefully, I think this is my first dragon I've painted. Then it was onto the Dark Pegasi - I've got two of them, both converted from the Bretonnian kit. The green robed one I mostly painted years ago; I painted the purple robed one to match. Having discovered a love of transfers, both had to have them - the green one is primarily for a combat character, while the purple one is for a sorceress (hence the scrolls and Ghrond sigil). The Master on the first Pegasus I'm counting as my "repaint a unit" annual goal. He was really really really badly painted - thick, caked on paint, no attempts at highlighting/washing, and big blobby white eyes. I've fixed him up as best possible but he's nothing special and you can still see the paint marks on the shield.

Wow they all look great, I recently freehanded the battle standard design onto one of my banners and considering how that turned out I really wish I'd had a transfer, yours looks way better!

Riders done: Dreadlord - I'm much happier with this one than the Master on Pegasus, but then that's because I put the effort in to edge highlight this one rather than a quick/dirty drybrush: Supreme Sorceress: Sorceress: I didn't enjoy painting the Sorceresses, which doesn't bode well for when I get around to other similar female Dark Elves. Hopefully it's just because I don't like these two models that much. Here's some other characters I might get to soon, though they still need some tidying up before I prime them. They're mounted on the spare Cold Ones from the chariot kit. Battle Standard Bearer: Malus Darkblade:

Malus looks great, but a little gap-filling on the head of the cold one is in order.
I had to do it with most of mine, it's a common problem on that sculpt.

The one is a 5th ed Dark Elf standard top, from the Cold One Knights I believe. The other looks like a repeater crossbow from the 6th ed Cold One chariot.

The cloak needs some green-stuffing too where it attaches to his armour, and Malus's neck/head has a gap. I may work on my Cold One characters next month, but that depends on how fed up with the models I am after I've painted the unit of 10 this month.
