Well that's it for 2020. December challenge was a nice incentive to get a second mini done by the end of the month. Ent stone throwe brings range to the tree force. A Treepocalypse is coming to the Warhammer world. Happy battles.

A couple pictures from a 2 vs 2 battle i gmd recently. First using the new battlemat. It passed the portability test and I like it despite being a bit uncertain with the brown over the familiar green. Khorne vs Khaine 2000 points. A mate dubbed "the luckless" hilariously cemented his name by rolling 5 ones when he needed 4+'s. He was one of the dark elf generals. In the end the Dark elves were overwhelmed and Khorne reigned. knoffles may remember a certain JD and his ability to roll 6's on cue... teamed with "the luckless" here in control of the dark elves in an act of balancing the dice even he couldn’t overcome the luckless effect and lost his recent 4-0 win streak. The luckless streak now sits at 0-6. Maybe next time the elusive Warhammer win will belong to "the luckless" Skulltaker and the bloodletters along with an undamaged Blood Thirster (who personally slew the Dark Avatar) and a couple of marauders survived.

Are those Lord of the Rings ents? They seems slimmer then the Wood Elves treemen. Also that tower in the back is that from Mageknight?

I've always liked the models a lot and now I finally have a pair of them. They are definitely slimmer than the GW ones and have a unique look which I like. The tower in the back is from GW. I can't remember what it was called. It came our during 8th edition. It's the smallest of the more recent but pre AoS towers. I don't know what mage knight is but am tempted to look it up now to see what towers they have Actually it just occured to me you could be talking about the kind of see through glass thing on the glass table in relation to mage knight and not the GW tower. If so that's actually a random custom light that my wife put together. It does look kind of mystical.

I used the exact same arms when building the one I've got for my Lord of the Rings Good force, I just used the other head and posed mine differently to look as though he was leaning back to launch his rock.

In my memory it looked a lot like the one they made years ago for Mageknight. I don't know if the game still exists today. It introduced me in to wargaming 15 years ago, but I quit when they introduced the second edition, which rendered the first one almost completely useless. I still use some of their figures for my warcry or mordheim warbands. They also had an dungeon edition, which was a lot of fun. But I lost the contact with the people I played with.

Avatar led Dark Elves vs Vlad Von Carstein led Vampire Counts 3000 points. Vlad is the luckless's guy even though he is yet to win a game. *JD secretly blames the luckless for the loss of his win streak 😄
