You have such great mini-diorama building skills. Looking forward to seeing how these come out!

Thank you very much for the positive comments. I must admit I really enjoy making unit fillers, It’s quite addictive. I kind of envy Kings of War with their multi-basing, every unit is a diorama essentially! Anyways, here’s how the painting went. I had my usual inner debate on how to get these guys done. I’ve decided that their clothes should be mostly neutral when it comes to colour, so a lot of browns, beiges and greys were used, along with a few spots of blue, to visually tie them to the rest of my army. No purple as the colour is reserved for the more regal units and heroes! I initially was planning on painting all of the skin the same way but that's too boring, so I tested out three schemes; grey-purple, greenish and the “recently deceased” (not an official paint name unfortunately). All were achieved through using different contrast paints and a lot of washes. Here are a couple examples: The unit fillers are coming along nicely, really enjoyed painting up the AOS dude (heresy I know): Speaking of fillers, my liche had difficulty of ranking up because of her long flowing robes. After a bit of tinkering, I’ve made her a cute little, fluffy familiar to make sure she fits snuggly with any unit she wishes to join: Here’s how the unit looked at the halfway point: Quite a few more zombies have already been finished, so I hope I will have the unit done by the end of the month. Stay tuned.

Holy hell, those look amazing! It's gonna be one really impressive and characterful unit when done.

That's so good.
The zombies are super characterful with their expressions and the liche and unit filler are brilliant together.

Cheers people! High praise coming from you talented lot! The zombies are coming along slowly, but I had to find some time for a little side project. My friend was organising a one-day event for our gaming group and needed some help with terrain. We were doing a little team campaign, with the forces of good and evil fighting over 4 Old World regions. One of them was Sylvania, for which I made a couple of terrain pieces, including this chapel to the god Morr: The basis was a resin shrine from minimonsters.eu, mounted on a MDF base with a ton of bits added and many, many skulls from the citadel skull set. The fencing at the back was made from a couple spears and a jewelry chain. It is loosely based on a an illustration from one of the old vampire books: I pretty pleased with it, hope you like it too!
