I think any humans but mostly Bretonia vs OnG is a good place to start and a fast army book release for beastmen just using all the good models there is. That would cross off 2 left out armies fast.

Ok guys, I was speaking to a certain FW exec as part of the podcast, it looks like bases for the new minis will be square but the rulings on infantry bases will maybe be a little more flexible. I was discussing how I should base my high elves and he informed me 20 or 25mm would be fine. Unsure if I mentioned it before but Cathay are getting their own army Moving forward I may be able to get a bit more info during interviews and things, is there anything u guys want to ask? ----------Where can we listen to this? Lol, u can’t, I stepped back from the podcast a little while ago, the boys still haven’t recorded anything 😂 this was a convo between myself and a certain friend I have at FW I met through the podcast

Empire vs Empire would be horribly boring, the reason Horus Heresy is so bad is because it just features good Space Marines vs bad Space Marines, and a duel Empire faction starter box would suffer from this same problem. People like variety. Additionally I certainly wouldn’t be impressed if they rereleased Island of Blood, that would be just plain lazy. GW already did that once with Dark Vengeance (and did a similar thing with Island of Blood as an alternative starter set for AoS) and it sucks for those players who already have the set but for the prior edition. Bretonnia vs Beastmen FTW That would be pretty disappointing if they started with typical Empire on Empire, but with the 3 emperors they could easily do so with completely different units per faction Bretonnia has been hyped up to an absurd level over the past year+ with their older models. Would have to assume something with Kislev since they've already begun releasing sketches, but knowing GW is already 1-2 years ahead on development from what they've released who really knows... I'll go ahead and guess....Empire & Kislev

I can believe Empire rules will be split in to three armies or more, I would be stunned if they made that the starter set though, I also believe it would be a major mistake too, as in the end HH gets away with it because most people love Space Marines and they have a major much loved series of BL novels. Sticking to my prediction that GW will play it safe with the initial starter set, updated Orcs & Common Goblins(those wolfriders for the AoS boardgame are brilliant) vs one of the human factions, in which I believe Bretonnia is the best bet as they are more familiar then Kislev plus a goodwill gesture to start the new version of WFB by updating a faction that was the most out of date army in the previous version of the game and that was culled so quickly at the start of AoS. -------------Agreed about wolf rider but not orcs & goblins, rather: Nations of the Hobgobla Khan!

Snotlings vs Gnoblars would have an epic Pumpwagons & Scraplaunchers demolition derby.

I saw this on FB this morning. I thought it was quite interesting. Pure speculation, but does make some good points. Might need to start a savings account for next November guys!

I thought GW usually released stuff on Saturdays? I wasn't aware of them doing stuff for Thanksgiving before, being a UK company - but maybe I just skip over that stuff?

I would like both ideally, just would love to see stuff like a plastic doom diver kit first.

I think FW has had a history of Black Friday releases.
To be taken with a heavy dose of salt, though.

Like I said earlier about conspiracy theory. You are using the wrong calendar and putting way too much hope in a design widget. If they wanted us to know the date they would tell us. UK week starts at Monday like most of the rest of Europe.

I believe one faction in the starter set will absolutely be humans, either Empire, Bretonnia, Kislev. But the more I think about it, I could see it being Empire v. Empire. Meaning two different Empire factions from the War of the Three Emperors. Empire vs. Empire??? Crazy I would love it, but seems like a stretch. It'll be "Good Humans" versus "Bad Humans" maybe. "Good Humans" ~ Empire, Kislev, Bretonnia, etc. "Bad Humans" ~ Chaos, Norsca, etc.

I'd love for it to be Kislev vs Norsemen. Big 'ole Mammoth in the set! TAKE MY MONEY

I'm thinking it'll be Kislev vs. Chaos of some form since we've seen illustrations of the Kislev models. And chaos is a natural enemy for them. I'm just hoping it's similar to 8th. That being said, the one major thing they could do to make me not want to play is to bring back guess ranges.
