Grimfang Gogulk´s Whaaagh!

Thanks buddy. Yeah, it feels great to be honest.. They are coming along, and I still have stuff to paint.. 12 more Orcs, 10 more Gobbos (plus five herders), 10 squigs, 11 Spider Riders (one will be a Bigboss) and four River Trolls.. Oh and the Black Orc Bigboss - ME! He is almost done too.. Not a great paintjob and might be stripped later, but i will finish him off as of now and use him for a while.

Yeah, it feels nice..

I do have my home made Fanatics I used in Mordheim, Blood Bowl balls on chains.. kinda lame, I need to replace those too..

And then I need to track down some arty and especially a Boar Chariot or two (or three!)

So I hope it will feel even better..

I actually put my next 10 squigs and the River Trolls on hold for a little bit.. Found 10 Arrer Boyz, another ten or so Boyz (5-6 with spears) and a Boar Chariot.. So used the money there.

Felt clever to beef up that spear unit and add more core.. I love the 6th Ed starter box Arrer Boyz and will get more. But 10 is playable.. I also need them for Mordheim, don´t have any Orcs with bows yet so felt like a no brainer..

The Boar Chariot is painted and looks good! Kinda don´t want to strip it.. Hmm.. Don´t have it here yet so will decide when I do.. But it would need some repainting so..

Put some work into the Spider Riders, or the spiders anyhow.. Spent alot of time scraping mould lines and re-bathed them in IPA.. And started with a red Tamiya Paint but after one coat switched to the last sludge mass ina Khorne Red tin.. I thin Citadell to 70% in the Airbrush anyways.

And then i just made it quick and easy.. A careful dry brush with Wazdakka Red, some black on the legs and thenkinda little too sloppy Zandri Dust, Agrax - Ushabti.. And the Ushabti was a little too thick so it was not the best paint job.. I will touch it up a bit and I will add blue eyes and the poision on the Bigboss spider. I might even go back and do more details, later..
The red looks alright in real life though and if I put a little effort into the goblins, the sloppy work might not be so evident?

And then I stripped my Mordheim Goblins with shortbows....... Seven of them. Why? because I have 13 more but not spears for all.. So figured a super cheap 20 "man" unit might be handy.. And repainting them, I can stil use them in Mordheim on square bases!
The first Night Goblin unit only gets five more for a total of 35, but I might sneak in five with short bows at the back if i need 40 - for now... I will add more later at some point I think.

The fangs bug me though.. I need to redo them a bit.. The rest is okay as it is detail I am leaving, for now.. But.. Ugh.. It irritates me. But I will probably do the riders first..
It was one of those days I should not have painted as I was a bit irritated and painted angry.. So was sloppy too.

And my poor Mordheim gang keeps falling apart.. I stripped the Big ´uns too. Funnily enough i liked their painting apart from the bone-areas that I painted just as bad as the Spiders´ fangs, with the same colours..



The idea is to graft those axe-heads to the Nobz´ big choppas. Probably cutting them down too, so there is only half of the axe-head.
And removing batteries and cables of course, of the Nob-part!

They came out large and menacing. I would honestly use them as characters as they would fit the part to a T
