I've been painting for 5 years but only played for my first time last weekend. I decided to make a battle report out of it! If watching first timers discover the game sounds cool, check it out! To facilitate learning, we played without a magic phase, and without any of the rules in our army rulebooks... Just learning to maneuver, shoot, charge, and resolve combat. It's actually suggested in the core rulebook to do that when beginning to get the basics down, and I'm glad we took the advice. ALSO - I'm trying a new style of Battle Report, which removes all the dice rolling so you can actually see the battle unfold as a continuous story... When I watch the typical 1 hour battle report, 40 mins of it is spent staring at dice and losing track of what's going on on the whole board. If you enjoy, let me know! I'm thinking about producing more (and better) videos as we learn to play proper. youtu.be/7N7AQFLkTAY

Easily the best amateur 8th Edition Video Battle Report I have seen in a long time. Kudos (and encore )!

Very enjoyable and congrats on your first game. I always prefer 'live' games on YouTube rather than pictures with commentary. Although it's for a different gaming system, the master crafted you tube battle reports are very slick and worth a watch.

Nice video, and an interesting bit of narrative during the turns! Well done, especially for a first game.
On a random note, where did you get that pool of blood terrain piece in the center of the board?

I don't really watch video battle reports, but this was awesome. I really enjoyed the camera work - zooming in and out while panning around the battle. Cool stuff!

Whoa! Didn't expect this kind of awesome feedback! Once I finish some more models I'll make another. I'm a slow painter On a random note, where did you get that pool of blood terrain piece in the center of the board? There was an Ebay seller just PUMPING them out in different colors/styles... I just checked and it looks like he went out of business: www.ebay.com/usr/blacktowerterrainHonestly, I love buying terrain fully finished by other hobbyists. Super satisfying and then I get more time for models.

He literally had years of flawless feedback until he went out of business - the negatives you're seeing are just his last two transactions, out of hundreds, when he was apparently closing up or ostensibly running out of inventory.

Great battle report! Are you at all interested in feedback about things you did wrong? I like these battle reports I may try and do it this way from now on.
Is this just phone video?
I guess the problem would be that I play in a store and so I wouldn't have a quiet background for audio...
