KevinC I had 7k, the Skaven had 5k, Thorgrim had 7k and Belegar had 5k or 6k, I don't quite remember. It's hard to say how long each turn took but excluding deployment I think we played 8 turns in 14 hours so that makes 1.5-2 hours per game turn. In reality the middle turns probably took the most time, when we had lots going on in all phases. But we always plan for playing more turns than normal in our big games. I had no idea (or had completely forgotten) you don't test for Animosity in buildings. Is it in the FAQ? Anyway, I think it was hillarious when they got carried away and stormed out of the objective. dannytee We had planned for extra table sections on either side for both me and the Skaven to deploy in, but due to table limitations we couldn't quite arrange it. Since his force was so much smaller, he decided he only needed the 'wedge' to set up in. My brother playing Thorgrim made the scenario and all the objectives so he did know about all the secrets. We tend to put him in charge of scenarios and scenery as he has the best access to terrain and tables, being a GW Store Manager. frozenfood The next game is meant to happen in February, which is really a much better time of year than May. That also means much less time to prepare. We haven't decided on the armies yet but I'm going for something a little less ambitious. I will either add some mortals to fight alongside my Nurgle Daemons or do an Orc-led waaagh as an excuse to grab the new stuff and paint up that gorgeous Azhag model I still haven't painted.

I didn't have the time to take pictures before the battle, but here is some of the last models I finished. Doom Diver battery. Nothing fancy, but I did find/build a couple of fun crew members for them. The classic Pumpwagon. I rarely repaint old models but I made an exception for this one as it was just sitting in a box and never getting to play. The current Pumpwagon model. Kitbash Pumpwagon 1, mostly with Warp Lightning Cannon parts. Kitbash Pumpwagon 2, as above. All 4 together. Something old, something new, nothing borrowed, everything GREEN!

That battle report and pictures were exceptional. Really told a story.
I loved the surprisingly tooled up for close combat runesmith's moment of triumph.

Time to add my competition entry to the paintlog. I took better pictures for the competition on Da Warpath and won. This is the lobba I entered -- obviously my favourite. The motley crew is made up of Night Goblins, Gnoblars, Goblins, Snotlings and an old crewman from the classic Lead Belcher goblin war machine. The machine itself is mostly built from the Warp Lightning Cannon kit with all the wires, tubes and Skaven symbols removed. The counterweight is from the Giant kit and the mechanism has parts from the OK Scraplauncher and various hooks and chains, mostly from the OK line. Of course, as this is Skarsnik's grand army I didn't make just one, I made a battery of three.
