KevinC I had 7k, the Skaven had 5k, Thorgrim had 7k and Belegar had 5k or 6k, I don't quite remember. It's hard to say how long each turn took but excluding deployment I think we played 8 turns in 14 hours so that makes 1.5-2 hours per game turn. In reality the middle turns probably took the most time, when we had lots going on in all phases. But we always plan for playing more turns than normal in our big games.

I had no idea (or had completely forgotten) you don't test for Animosity in buildings. Is it in the FAQ? Anyway, I think it was hillarious when they got carried away and stormed out of the objective.

dannytee We had planned for extra table sections on either side for both me and the Skaven to deploy in, but due to table limitations we couldn't quite arrange it. Since his force was so much smaller, he decided he only needed the 'wedge' to set up in.

My brother playing Thorgrim made the scenario and all the objectives so he did know about all the secrets. We tend to put him in charge of scenarios and scenery as he has the best access to terrain and tables, being a GW Store Manager.

frozenfood The next game is meant to happen in February, which is really a much better time of year than May. That also means much less time to prepare. We haven't decided on the armies yet but I'm going for something a little less ambitious. I will either add some mortals to fight alongside my Nurgle Daemons or do an Orc-led waaagh as an excuse to grab the new stuff and paint up that gorgeous Azhag model I still haven't painted.

That battle report and pictures were exceptional. Really told a story.
