Salutations everyone!
I'm here as I've recently ticked off the administrator and wish to make amends for my disrespect shown to this forum. (Not really the forum mind, it's a good site with a noble purpose, I was dismissive of the Bretonnia draft)
I sign on to forums to make friends, not enemies. Hopefully we can all get along with the spirit of jolly cooperation and make eighth the hallmark of wargames that it's meant to be.

Baron! Glad to see you here! I went a bit overboard too, that's all water under the bridge! Welcome to the forum! FYI, you should check out the Bret list a bit more carefully, a few of the things you mended that are not in the list are in the list, everything does not have its own unit entry.

Thanks for the welcome. About the draft, unfortunately, I'm unable to open up the pdf on my phone. Regardless, I've been reading the comments on it and there seems to be alot of good ideas that you came up with. (I rather skimmed through the topic the first time and missed the good ideas, I'm at fault for that) Hopefully I can be of use with working up a final draft for noble Bretonnia. Best of fortunes to you friends.

Hi all, I'm Chris and I've come over here from the Da Warpath forums (username:cb_rex) as this looks like a nice place to do square base shenanigans. While I do like AoS I'm also of the opinion that GW discontinuing the WFB ruleset is the greatest gift they could have possibly given us, as we now have free reign to play Warhammer however we please, using whatever comp packs/house rules/models and other things we like, (with our opponents consent of course). I'm a long time WFB player and obviously an Orcs and Goblins player at heart but also dabble with Empire, Beastmen and High Elves. I mostly play against my brothers Skaven and have knocked up an O+G balancing pack that I use to make our competivie games more fun with more viable list choices.

Hello all!! Drahcir here, or Fog of Waaagh on the Warhammer Empire forums! Huge fan of 8th and been a fan of Warhammer for only the past 10 years. I hate AOS with a passion and I run a small youtube channel! Here is my latest video, talking about how I will be doing lore videos on 8th Ed. for the up coming Warhammer Total war! www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYLD-jHes2Y

Hello all! I'm a longtime gamer from the Warhammer-Empire forums! I'm very interested in preserving 8th Edition, and keeping it from being polluted by Age of Sigmar's nonsense.
Very much looking forward to getting the old, badly-in-need-of-an-update army books cleaned up and discussing a revised 8th edition to fix any flaws in it. I'm also a longtime fluff writer and would love to get the ball rolling on, in time, moving the fluff for the Old World beyond 2522 on a divergent path from the AoS timeline.

c8r3x, Drahcir (The Fog of Waaagh!), and Toro_Blanco, welcome to all of you! I look forward to discussions with you! Thank you for the warm Welcome! Toro_Blanco is my comrade in arms here and he intro'd me to the site first, I just beat him to the introductions! Haha! I hope to get hard into the meat and potatoes of the lore when it comes to my videos, 8th ed, and writing some nice fluff and the sort for campaigns to come!

Hi boys!
Longtime Warhammer player from Western NY. I've really enjoyed 8th edition and just can't justify making the switch to AoS (I also hate round bases for fantasy models). I love playing WFB, but my main hobby interest is collecting old lead from the 80's. Looking forward to seeing where this forum goes.

Roughtimes! Welcome!
Happy to have you! I'm a big time 'old lead' guy myself, and got into the hobby back in '88. Lost and the Damned is one of my most prized possessions!
Glad to have you!

Ever read the previous posts and think, "Alcoholics Anonymous" ;-)
Hello my name is James, and I won't let go of warhammer 8th.
I first discovered warhammer back when I was a little lad visiting the nearest thing my town ever had to a Frienly local hobby shop; a book store. They had warhammer 6th edition? I believe, it was the one with empire vs orcs, cannon and chariot in the box. I was hooked, absolutely loved the little guys, but too young to really appreciate the rules and play the game properly.
Fast forward to 7 years ago, I move up to Derby (UK) for university and completely groove with the warhammer scene there. 40k wasn't all that popular at the time where I was, just fantasy, so with Island of blood being released I finally learned how to play the games had enjoyed making and painting, but not really ever playing, so far.
And does it have problems? Sure. Is it perfect? Well what is. And if anything, we'll happily see a blood bowl situation where the fans make the game great again :-) improved and bigger and better than ever before.
I'll probably just be posting painting in progress and the occasional battle report. Today I purchased a sealed copy of Island of Blood and the main rule book, and that pretty much caps off all I need for now. I'm a skaven player, so expect lots of rats ;-)
Have a good one
