Hi guys! Just came here after seeing GrandMasterWang post about EEFL on Warseer, and when I figured out what it stood for, I joined =) Short info; 33 years old, from Sweden, been playing (read collecting. Obsessively.) since 94-95. Favorite armies are O&G and Dwarfs (old school), but I also collect HE, WE, WoC and Ogres. AoS is most definetly not for me, neither is KoW, so I'm oldhammer/8th all the way. Glad to have found this forum, and will be uploading pictuers of stuff I paint (if and when). Cheers! Waaahey! Go me with the Eefl referral hehe! Im glad you have decided to venture across. I love the 8th Edition ruleset and the epic strategic battle feel it somehow manages to create. It really makes me 'feel' like a fantasy General if you know what i mean. It tickles both the macro and the micro for me. I feel like my strategic decisions make real differences to how a battle plays out but at the same time the ruleset allows me to connect with even the little guys as we the gamers hold their lives in our hands. Thank you =) And I agree, on the most part. The only real gripe i've got with 8th is the number of miniatures that just goes as wound-counters. The ultimate version would be something between 8th (a lot from 8th) and 5th (not som much, and perhaps this is rose tinted goggles-syndrome, but it was a really good game and the unit sizes was perhaps the best in any ed.) Anyhow, glad to be on board! Now I just need to finish theese blueprints (school), and I can get to painting. Hoping to get something done during the holidays!  |

Hey guys! David from the Philippines here. Stumbled on EEFL from Warseer, and found the forum in line with how I would like to continue with the Warhammer hobby.
Like a lot of you I started around the mid to late 90s with 5th ed, interest waning from edition to edition while picking up a few armies along the way. 8th is my absolute favorite edition and this is when I was really active in our local gaming community. Ironically though, I collect 2 (out of the 3) armies that were never updated for 8th -- Bretonnians and Beastmen. hahaha I also have some Night Goblins, Empire, and Dark Elves on the side.
I've never been a super competitive player, I just love to read both the lore and rules of each army. I also love the painting side of the hobby so expect me to post pics of my armies in the projects forum soon.

Hello everyone,
Justin here, with my son who have become avid warhammer addicts in the last 18 months. I started painting the miniatures before he was born 13 years ago, and never played a game. I went to school, boxed them up, and cannot remember where they are. So I have started over, but this time I am playing! I am not competitive, never have been, just enjoy playing, and do not know nearly enough to get bent out of shape if all my guys run off of the board because I made an amateur mistake. We have every army but demons, and we do have chaos dwarves. I am a painting addict also, and love working on the armies. We started with Dwarves and Empire, and have gone on to quickly become one of the local hobby shops best customers.
We converted a bedroom in our basement and put up track lighting, built a table into the wall, high enough it doesn't hurt your back, even added a space for books and dice rolling and casualties at the end. We love it! My brother and nephew are into it deep now too, and we have purchased the novels, every book, and even got blood bowl for the ps4 for Christmas. I do not know of anyone else playing in Eastern Ohio, but I do travel to Columbus Ohio for games where we used to play weekly until the change to AoS. I have plenty of pictures, and I will certainly add them to the appropriate spot soon.
Currently we are just working on some AoS starter set and adding them to our existing armies with some house rules, and we have all of the new Slayer Dwarves from AoS including the Magmadroth, so we have a lot more painting to do!
I am excited to find a group of folks still playing 8th! |

Hello everyone.
I am an avid fan of 8th edition fantasy and am glad to have heard of and found this community.
Matt at Just Games sent me here. I love fantasy more than Age of Sigmar, but I play both.
I was born the year KevinC started collecting goblins so my experience is overshadowed by that. I started 40k when I was 13 and just started 8th edition fantasy in 2013 and loved it. It is a very amazing and really well balanced in my opinion especially compared to 40k and totally owns Age of Sigmar, which I play because I love warhammer so much but AoS is unbalanced and broken.
But you all know that!
I have about 3.5k points of high elves and just started orcs & goblins because they have a boost in AoS, will be interested to see if this forum has an update for 8th ed OnG.
Well I look forward to being apart of the community and would love to game!
