G'day all, Last played 8th about a decade ago, now the scene is starting up again in a nearby town so hopefully I'll be playing again soon. Had been trying a bit of One Page Rules fantasy with a friend using my lizardmen and skaven, and OPR is just fine for getting minis on tables and dice rolling. It's funny how oldschool these boards look, compared to the more modernised dakka or lustria online where I lurk. Cheers! Morning! Glad to have you aboard!! |

Hello all!
Started as a 40k player around 5th ed, always interested in fantasy and collected two armies but never got enough ppl in LGS that plays it to learn.
Finally, after years of holding on to armies that has never seen tabletop and a few months or so before start of ET, upon hearing news of big updates coming, learned the rules myself, convinced my 40k groups to hop over to fantasy with almost everyone starting their army, having a blast in 8th while waiting for the "big update". Suffice to say it was messy, still, stuck to fantasy ever since and managed to keep it alive in my group, admittedly moving a bit more over towards t9a then 8th, though we still do regular triumph and treacheries.

Yeah, our group has been loving fantasy to keep it going since, and probably more popular than 40k at this point despite all of us starting out as 40k/flames of war players. Personally I mainly play Warrior of Chaos, Dwarf and Orcs, but have also got some empire, tomb king, brettonia, high elf and dark elf over the years, and latest project being the chaos dwarves. |

Hello everyone!
I'm Thomas, from France. I started painting minis about 10 years ago with 40k, and have always eyed fantasy a bit. For a long time I've bought a couple minis, learned the lore and rules but never fully commited to building an army. Until a couple years ago, when the Old World news and a friend who used to play fantasy back before End Times convinced me to properly start.
Since then I've been slowly building a TK army, and I'm thinking of starting Beastmen as well. I'm just starting to play my first few games, and I hope the Old World coming out might reintroduce some interest in 8th in the larger wargaming community, although I also intend to play the Old World if the ruleset is good.
