I actually managed to get some painting done today. Just sloppy base layers thus far but it feels good getting back into the saddle. I'm trying to go for an albino look on the musician and for the skullfaced one I think that I'll play around with washes to get a rotten look since I want him to have the appearance of flesh falling off the bone. As for the one with crooked legs I'm not sure yet but I'm thinking that I might try to make him look old and grey. That might be hard though considering the little hair he has on his body and that his back is pretty much covered in warpstone protrusions from lugging around his boulder all the time.   This is the reference I'm using for the musician. The plan is to make it slightly mushier though due to his gift. If I'm brave enough I might even attempt some of the "freckles".  |

the WIP pic with some paints on really brings out all the cool details that were hard to see in the earlier pictures.
will there be a wet spot under your minotaurs as well?

Nothing new to post but I got a new phone with an actually decent camera on it so here's a picture of my finished characters.  Edit: Oh yeah, I actually got somewhat of an update on my Nurgle Minos. Haven't done much more on them though since I haven't felt the urge to paint in a while which explain their somewhat dusty appearance that I didn't realise until after I took the photos. The green is the first layers of what's meant to be warpstone.  I've also done a little bit on another Spawn. Unfortunately I don't remember what he rolled.  |

I finished a second barricade. This one I actually built a fair while ago but never got around to painting until now. I kinda fucked up the paintjob of the stakes by attempting it after doing all of the stirland battlemire behind it but I think that I managed to make a reasonable save out of it. It could have also been served with a drybrush over the mud but I simply couldn't be bother to go back and redo the stakes from scratch. It's very interesting to see how much of a difference the colour of the priming level does to the end result. This one was spray-painted white whereas on the one before I just painted directly on top of the mixture of modge podge and black paint that I used to seal it with.  |
