These look like something for a Mortal Kombat stage fatality.

The terrain looks perfect for a chaos army, both in theme and paintjob.

The hobby hiatus has kind of continued so in the spirit of getting back to things rather than trying to finish one of the countless half-finished projects I should be working on (looking at you half-painted minotaurs...) I decided to make myself a small regiment of Pestigors. The plan is to make a unit of 15 and working on them five at a time with the goal of finishing them before the end of October. Since I already had a standard bearer built that left me with 14 more models to roll up with the aide of the rules for champions in the old Realm of Chaos Books.
These were the results:
#1 - 4 gifts: 1. Silly Walk (831). 2. Frenzy. 3. Multiple Arms (665) - Two Extra Arms. 4. Acid Excretion (002).
#2 - 3 gifts: 1. EotG - Chaos Weapon - Two Handed - Not a Sword - Skeleton Summoning (838). 2. Chaos Armour. 3. Scorpion Tail (800).
#3 - 3 Gifts: 1. EotG - Chaos Weapon - Two Hander - Sword - Magic Thief (574). 2. Plague - Crook Bone (GoN). 3. Chaos Armour.
#4 - 4 gifts: 1. Rotting Flesh (782). 2. Chaos Armour. 3. Bestial Face - Rat. 4. Wings (973).
#5 - 5 gifts: 1. Immensity (GoN). 2. Biting Tongue (GoN). 3. Scorpion Tail (798). 4. Cloven Hooves (273). 5. Chaos Armour.

#6 - 3 gifts: 1. Strength. 2. Horns of Nurgle (GoN). 3. Plague - Bulging Eyes (GoN).
#7 - 4 gifts: 1. Hunchback (491). 2. EotG - Chaos Weapon - two handed - sword - Plague (661) - Green Pox. 3. Beweaponed Extremities (177). 4. Fits.
#8 - 2 gifts: 1. Trail of Slime (GoN). 2. Immensity.
#9- 3 gifts: 1. Furry (424). 2. Wings (975). 3. Chaos Armour.
#10 - 3 gifts: 1. EotG - Chaos Weapon - Two Handed - Sword - Fade (261). 2. Bestial Face - Boar (126). 3. Resilient (777).
- - -
[#11] - 4 gifts: 1. Mercreature (634). 2. Plague - Creeping Buboes (GoN). 3. Resilient (779). 4. EotG - Chaos Weapon - Twohander - Not a Sword - Howling (401).
#12 - 4 gifts: 1. Hide of Nurgle (GoN). 2. Tentacles (911). 3. Chaos Weapon - Twohander - Not a Sword - Weaken (956). 4. Bestial Face - Bull (175).
#13 - 3 gifts: 1. Hide of Nurgle (GoN). 2. Growth (481). 3. Nurgling Infestation (GoN).
#14 - 4 gifts: 1. Invent Your Own (997). 2. Rapid Regeneration (756). 3. Bestial Face - Deer (173). 4. Skull Face (839).

These conversions are great! As someone who bought the original Realm of Chaos books when they came out, I'm really enjoying the old school feel of this project.

What an eclectic bunch. That paunch body on what looks to be gor legs for the bsb makes for a characterful model that draws the eye.

These conversions are great! As someone who bought the original Realm of Chaos books when they came out, I'm really enjoying the old school feel of this project. Thanks! The Realm of Chaos books are pretty damn great. What an eclectic bunch. That paunch body on what looks to be gor legs for the bsb makes for a characterful model that draws the eye. I've always felt that the best beastmen take is one that fully embraces its eclectic nature. It took me seeing a blog post somewhere where in someone had made a unit of Bestigors using the Black Orc bodies for me to finally dare to take the jump into my own pestigors, and what better way than to start out with a homage to that unit? I've finished the two first models of Pestigors, #3 and #4, with the exception for their bases for now. As you can see I decided to let me my ratman go wingless since I couldn't find a nice way to make that fit with the rest of the mini. This was also my first attempt at the slapchop method of painting, and while I did kinda pluck it up by not putting down enough of a base grey drybrush I think that the end result was good enough for a first try. Boy howdy, it certainly saves on time spent painting the minis!

Amazing work! Can't wait to see a complete group shot Thanks, buddy. Me too! Finished 3 more Pestigors, aswell as a Forsaken which can pull double duty as a beastman. I was rather displeased with the outcome this time. The eyes on the green one were especially botched and the front view of Mr Tentacles (which was inspired by this model btw: knightmareminiatures.com/product/shoggtor ) just look like a mess, even though his look from the back turned out good enough imo. The lion and forsaken turned out okay I guess. From left to right: Pestigor #12 - 4 gifts: Shoggtoo 1. Hide of Nurgle (GoN). 2. Tentacles (911). 3. Chaos Weapon - Twohander - Not a Sword - Weaken (956). 4. Bestial Face - Bull (175). Pestigor #8 - 2 gifts: Fat Ursulon 1. Trail of Slime (GoN). 2. Immensity. Pestigor #6 - 3 gifts: Eyesore 1. Strength. 2. Horns of Nurgle (GoN). 3. Plague - Bulging Eyes (GoN). Forsaken - 4 gifts: The Mad Man of the Forest 1. EotG - Chaos Weapon - Two Handed - Sword - Wounding (980). 2. Walking Head (951). 3. Horns of Nurgle (GoN). 4. Multiple Arms (665) - Two Extra Arms.

Realised that I'd forgotten to post some other models that I finished. As you might see I've managed to get myself into a bit of theme by botching the painting of eyes, but atleast it gave birth to a theme of the Pestigors making up the unit suffering from some kind of eye disease! From left to right: Pestigor #1 - 4 gifts: Pretty Fly Guy 1. Silly Walk (831). 2. Frenzy. 3. Multiple Arms (665) - Two Extra Arms. 4. Acid Excretion (002). Pestigor #2 - 3 gifts: Moosehorns 1. EotG - Chaos Weapon - Two Handed - Not a Sword - Skeleton Summoning (838). 2. Chaos Armour. 3. Scorpion Tail (800). Chosen which I've misplaced the rolls for but could double as a Beastman. IIRC It did atleast roll Chaos Armour and Crossbreed - GM's choice, which gave me the idea for a turtle man.

Thanks guys, that means a lot. Finished four more Pestigors which leaves me with only three more to do this month to fulfil my goal! Not the best of photos this time but oh well. From left to right: #15 - Unrolled Standard Bearer. #14 - 4 gifts: The Deer (Musician) 1. Invent Your Own (997) - Worms. 2. Rapid Regeneration (756). 3. Bestial Face - Deer (173). 4. Skull Face (839). #5 - 5 gifts: Slugtongue the Languid (Unit Champion) 1. Immensity (GoN). 2. Biting Tongue (GoN). 3. Scorpion Tail (798). 4. Cloven Hooves (273). 5. Chaos Armour. I ended up not actually sculpting that which gives him his name since I couldn't come up with a conversion I liked enough to warrant reshaping the face, which I quite like. #13 - 3 gifts: Shaggy 1. Hide of Nurgle (GoN). 2. Growth (481). 3. Nurgling Infestation (GoN).
