I do like the notion of an ogre codpiece...

Thanks for the suggestions and inspirational pics, Crazy! I'm quite intrigued by your ideas of some kind of conch as a helmet for him and/or the pestigor raggy cloth and wiry horns. I do also like the notion of a bestial skull, allthough I think I would prefer it to be a mask of some sort - maybe I should see how he'd look with that and some more skeletal bits to the rest of his armour? Will have to see what suitable bits I have and play around with the ideas. Furthemore, I should really get my hands on that Rotten Factory mino someday. On another note I've recently gotten some work done on my second regiment of Nurgle Ogres. The point of struggle at this moment is on how to go about making the models on the farthest left and right look more landsknetchy. At the very least I want them to look like they've seen some mercenary service in the empire before they succumbed to the taint of Chaos. Great ogres. That greenstuff hat on the left and araby maneater looking ogre on the right are really well done.

Thanks, grandmasterwang! Here's an update on the regiment. Not too much work left before they are ready to hit the painting stage. The champion is the one who needs the most amount of work in the form of a second arm and maybe a hat or a helmet. I'm really having a hard time settling on what if any headgarment to give him though. It couldn't hurt to also emphasise his fur cloak being the pelt of some beastman he slew by adding some kind of head to it that hangs off the back. Now that I think about it he might need some kind of moustache aswell... Edit: Decided to kill two birds in one stone by having him wear the beastman pelt with the attached beastman head atop his head like a hood. I might also need something to make the musician come off as more imperial. Kinda thinking that I might want to theme him a bit more after a mockery of a Sigmar warrior priest with him but don't really know what. As always, any tips and/or suggestions are more than welcomed!

With the exception of some miniscule greenstuffing I reckon that I'm about done building my Nurgle Ogres. Anything you'd like to see added or changed before I get to painting them? By Jove, I just realised that I've forgotten to give the champion a fancy mustache!

Is the guy with the sun the standard bearer? if not, I'd like to see a standard bearer. if yes, he could be more imposing. And the standard needs a look out nurgling. Really like the nurgling on Mr. RedPant's shoulder. This will be one awesome unit once painted!

Really like the nurgling on Mr. RedPant's shoulder. This will be one awesome unit once painted! Yeah, the sun icon-guy is the standard bearer. I didn't want to make his "banner" to imposing since in the case I wanted to try out a horde of Nurgle Ogres for some deranged reason I wouldn't want him to steal focus from the other guy. Loving the idea of a look out-nurgling, definitely going to have to give him one. Thanks for that excellent idea. Also, thanks for giving me a proper name for one of them, haha. Mr RedPant's definitely going to be wearing the same after I've gotten around to painting them. I did previously entertain the notion of giving each their own Nurgling (or possibly nurglified gnoblar) as a sort of nod to this great blog which opened my eyes to the hobby potential of Ogres: www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?250907-Ogre-Maneaters Maybe I should reevalutate that thought?

Some progress on my Nurgle Minotaurs. They're nearing the painting stage, the biggest thing left is to build the altar on the back off the one with the slug in its mouth and decide whether or not to give all of them their own Warpstone "boulder". I'm kinda considering giving the musician (on the far left) a warpstone horn and for the skull-faced one have it be his chaos armour. For the champion (on the far right) I'm toying with the idea of having it be one of his small medallions. As for how to go about painting the warpstone I'm probably going to steal what Mottdon did with his trolls here: eefl.freeforums.net/post/60688/thread

Thanks guys, I think that mr Slug-tongue is my favourite too if not a close second after the musician. It's been a blast making these one even though I sure took my time finish building them. Sadly along the way I lost the exact gifts they rolled using the old rules for chaos champions in the Realm of Chaos books. Most of them are pretty clear though I hope. I'm looking forward to the next step of putting some paint on them. I am however considering trying my hands at sculpting an axe-wielding nurgling from scratch since I love the idea of one such lil' headsman accompanying the other three nurglings on the altar. Edit: The following are the Gifts I think I remember rolling for them: From left to right: #1: The Champion (Barok Sindar, The Raging Bull of the Appentine Forest. - 1. Face of a Plaguebearer. 2. Regeneration. 3. Chaos Armour. 4. Strength. #2: Git Out Me Swamp You Damn Kids! - 1. Biting Tongue. 2. Plague: Crook Bone. #3: Fatty McGoo - 1. Enormously Fat. 2. Crown of Flesh: GM's Choice (Horns). 3. Additional Eye. #4: Musician - 1. Rotting Flesh. 2. Massive Intellect. #5: (Slug-)Daemon Possessed Standard Bearer - 1. Crossbreed - Giant Snail 2. Mindless. #6: Do You Even Lift, bro - 1. Strength. 2. Face of a Beast of Nurgle. 3. Nurgling Infestation. 4. Plague: Grey Ague. #7: Smol But Fiesty - 1. Chaos Armour. 2. Eye of the Gods: Chaos Weapon: Mindeater (The bone-club). 3. Mace Tail. The backstory I have for the unit is that the Musician caught a vision from dear old Grandfather that told him to leave his temple-lair in far away Ind and to travel to the Old World to join the company. On his way he was told to gather together a band of Nurgle-touched Minotaurs to help with his quest of aiding the vision of Magog the Prophet.
