So I'll just get right to it. Is this site dying?
There seems to be a severe LACK of enthusiasm from members here. Outside of a core 10-ish members, most people seem to have given up posting anything here. Even some of our supposed "die-hard" EEFL members rarely ever post anymore. I understand being busy, believe me, if anyone has a reason to pull the "I'm just too busy" card, it's me with a Full Time job that requires me to work overtime quite frequently, an aging house and farm that requires constant attention and upgrades, a wife that would like to spend time with me, this hobby itself, and... oh yeah... my 3 year old quadruplets! That all keeps me quite busy! Still, I make time to post frequently here and do my part in keeping this community and portion of our hobby alive. Honestly, others here should be trying to do the same.
There are several of us who put forth a very concerted effort in doing their part, but that number seems to be dropping quickly. So many of our "frequent posters" haven't been active on here in a long time. I can only guess as to why, but that just means that for every member we lose in that way, the rest of us need to step up and fill the gap. ESPECIALLY THE ORIGINAL CORE MEMBERS! If we start it, we need to see it through. It's like having a baby and after a year or two, saying, "Okay, I've done my part. Now it's time for someone else to raise it!"
I feel as though we've got a good thing started here, but everyone needs to do their part. With 400+ members, we have the capacity to do so. But of late, there have only been a few posts each day. No effort. I strongly encourage all members here to contribute as much as they possible can. This is a Rallying cry. Please help this community.
