Back in 1E 40K, Beastmen could be included in Genestealer Cults and you could add explosive collars on their necks....the Magus could detonate the collars during battle. Cool to see Beastmen back in 40K. Now that is interesting... Though I can see why GW have now folded them into Chaos instead, as Beastmen don't synergise particularly well with the Tyranid nature of Genestealer Cults. --------They were still Chaos. Genestealer Cults turn to the worship of Chaos when they are in desperation. The Genestealer Patriarch could even be possessed by a Chaos Daemon back then.

Those Warcry Ghouls are a bit different. The boss looks almost like a Kroot who's crossed over from 40k. The ghouls themselves are okay, but not as cool as the Underworlds ghoul team that came out a couple of years ago. I don't love the aesthetic of these new ones though they're not terrible.
The baboon dogs - "Offal Hounds" are atrocious.

Two models shown off for The Old World:
#1 Bretonnian Paladin - a Questing Knight on foot. It's a resin kit. Unhelmed version too.
#2 Tomb King with hand weapon.
They've confirmed armies will get a mix of old kits returning + new plastic kits + new resin kits. New named characters from the time period will be coming. They've only confirmed new/returning models for "many factions" - not all.
They've said every 8th edition army will be playable, but they've also confirmed that the factions that are fighting in the literal Old World at the point in history TOW is set will be what they're focusing on.
First two armies will be Brets + Tomb Kings (getting new + returning models). They didn't say whether those would be the starter set though, but it seems likely they will. They didn't name any of the armies they won't be focusing on, but I think we can assume Dark Elves, Lizardmen and Chaos Dwarfs won't be part of it, and Ogre Kingdoms are unlikely.
Plastic Necrosphinx has been confirmed as returning.
No indication on release day - "still a while off".
I'll post photos of the models when they put them up on Warhammer Community.
