Interesting. Wonder how much that squig box will come in at?
Scenery options are always welcome. Don't think I would attach the lightening on the top of it

www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Loathsome-Ratmen-And-All-Their-Vile-Kin-2020'The Loathsome Ratmen and All Their Vile Kin' is back on print-on-demand. I hadn't heard of this one before, but it's apparently an old WFB background book. I'd normally jump at the chance to get it, except it's written by Mitchel Scanlon - I read one of his Horus Heresy books before, and it was utterly dire. Does anyone know if this is better? (I actually have a pdf of it, but much prefer to read printed books, and don't really fancy having to read the pdf to decide if I then want the book too!) I bought a copy of this from eBay a few weeks ago but I'm so happy to see this. I really encourage people to buy this because if this print on demand of an old fluff book does well they'll do more.

Yeah 2 of the big temples and some jungle and you've got a Lustria table.

I'm a huge fan of everything skaven and I didn't love this. Wasn't horrible but kinda meh imo.

I haven’t read it but ordered it anyway in my quest to own most of the printed fantasy material.

And with the quads constantly getting into my scenery and putting them through torture tests, that top wouldn't last anytime. Maybe magnets? One at each column attachment? You'd have to be super careful when storing it though.

Do you know when this was originally written? This is one of the few Fantasy things I've never heard of.

Looks like it's from 2004. I think I'm going to skip it. I love background books, but Skaven are one of my less-preferred WFB races, and the Mitchel Scanlon book I read was so utterly dire, I cannot justify dropping £20 on another one when I've got a pdf of it. On that note, if anyone wants a copy of the pdf, drop me a message. On the Lizardmen pyramid, you can build it as a "clean" version with no vines if you prefer (parts are reversible), as per: www.warhammer-community.com/2020/03/04/remake-reality-the-realmshaper-enginegw-homepage-post-3/

That's actually pretty cool design. I'm glad GW included the option.

They like to lean on the conspiracy theory stuff how nobody in the empire believes skaven actually exist. That would be cool if the WFB world wasn't full of stuff like dragons, magic, goblins, etc. Like I mean...the empire knows about beastmen but rat versions are too hard to accept.

I have always found that odd too about the Empire refusing to believe in Skaven, given all the other crazy creatures out there. The way I justify it, is that perhaps they don't want it to be true, in spite of the evidence. It is not just that they have to believe that ratlike beastmen exist, but also that they have infiltrated and under-burrowed into all of the most supposedly secure and fortified cities in the Old World. Perhaps the ruling class thinks that this is too much for the people to have to accept and bear...your everyday merchant, peasant, tradesman, etc. needs to believe that they have a modicum of safety and security in an otherwise dangerous world. Ignorance is bliss and all.

Oh, that's totally the case. I'm pretty sure I've read that very explanation in a book somewhere before (maybe it was in a video game....) Anyway, it makes sense that they feel as though they're in control of the situation and don't want people rioting and chaos in the streets (pun intended).
