They're pretty cool ghouls, these. I'm not a great fan of ghouls (though I have some in my VC army) but these look good - especially the one who appears to be wearing some flayed skin as "hair".
Not sure on the bats. They're far better than the old monkey bats, but I'm not blown away with them.
I think I'll be picking these guys up at some point - a VC army can always use more foot soldiers, and these add some variety to a Ghoul unit. My problem is that I painted my Ghouls in a crappy colour scheme, so would either need to match that with these or repaint the lot.

The bats don't look anything special to me. I actually don't like these Ghouls as much as normal Crypt Ghouls. They look a bit too human, if that makes sense. Normal Crypt Ghouls are more deformed and twisted and I prefer that aesthetic. For example, I'm not a fan of the Ghoul wielding a halberd in this set, and the 'come at me, bro' Ghoul with the hook weapons is silly in my opinion.

The Ghoul war band is like most of the others, there are some good models and a couple of duds. I’ve said before that I didn’t think much of the new Lizardman Blood Bowl team but the new pitch looks fantastic. I’ll definitely look to get that to complement the Greebo Lizardman team I backed on KS.

Especially since they're getting rid of all things Empire. Hold on a minute, GW have kept most of the Empire stuff for this awful Cities of Sigmar release that's essentially Empire 2.0 with other more interesting races as guest stars.

What a lazy title lol!!! Greywater Fastness. Jeez.... Buy this start box and get access to the fastest slow dwarfs in the realms, INCLUDING a gyrocopters piloted by Launchpad McDougal!! If we're complaining about names, "Anvilgard" sounds like it should have been for the Dawi, not the Elves! Dwarves love their anvils! Agreed, GW really messed up in naming those Free Cities. I'm sure they'll be decent value boxes, as always. It's a pity that they have so few models in - the old WFB Battalion boxes were (usually) much more useful as they contained a couple of decent sized infantry blocks. You could also (usually) pick up multiples to quickly bulk up an army, whereas the AoS ones have character models in, so they don't work so well in multiples. True, but you still had to buy a character separately, and until you did you couldn't play your army. I think they should have had both types of boxes - SC Boxes to give you your first character and a couple of units, and Battalion boxes to give you some more units later on once you've got the hang of using your new army.

More Warcry stuff - www.warhammer-community.com/2019/09/30/warcry-the-future-of-the-eightpoints/ - the starter set is a limited release, so will disappear soon; as such the scenery from it will shortly be available separately too: There's also another couple of Warbands on the way soon, one of which is the "Spire Tyrants" who don't seem to be affiliated with a particular realm/wind of magic - here's one of them: He looks a bit like a half-dressed Chaos Warrior. There are more monsters on the way - this is a "Formoroid Crusher":

I think the hemaroid Cygor has potential. Hopefully it's giant rather than ogre size.

I like the ghouls. They'll become DnD monsters and the bats...they'll find a use somewhere.
I'm actually digging a lot of the newer releases; not necessarily in a "I'm gong to use you for Games Workshop games" kind of way but more in a "you'll make a great addition to my DnD monster/Mordheim Warband" kind of way.
I like that Fomoroid Crusher (I initially read that as "Hemorroid Crusher" lol) I'll have to look through the Monster Manual and see what it could be used as.

If that crusher is Ogre sized, then it could potentially be a really good Gorger.

Hey guys, when did the witch hunter get taken down? Was it part of the recent last chance to buy and I totally overlooked him?

I think the hemaroid Cygor has potential. Hopefully it's giant rather than ogre size. The base looks the same as a Carnifex base, so I'm estimating it'll be closer to a Giant in size than an Ogre, which in AoS uses 40mm Tyranid Warrior bases, especially as this seems to be the Warcry version of the Ambull expansion for Blackstone Fortress.
