The character version of that horse thing I really want to like. The posing I think is good and there's a lot about the mount I do like. Then I look at the legs which are just way too bulky and weird. And the rider is just bad, the face is hideous and the limbs just seem off, they've got the thickness and size of an arm wearing clothing but they're made of bone, and the armor doesn't really fit. It's annoying, there are elements of the model I like, which is a first for this new undead release, but too much of it would need changing for what I'm guessing will be a $40+ mini.
GW just hasn't made many models I like for a while now, and they've steadily stopped making all the ones I do. It's kind of sad.

I don't think opinions are going to change on this range.
As before, I think there are some good concepts - I like the idea of a cross-legged Liche on a walking palanquin of bone; the torso, head, hat, staff and clothing are good. But the silly arms/legs, and the ganky walker ruin it. Again.

I love this range! For me, it's nostalgic of the Citadel miniatures of the '80s and early '90s (which I like best). I like the personality these figures have and their unusual nature.

I'm honestly kinda positive about this model. I really like the head, helmet and mantle, aswell as the crosslegged sitting of the character. The bone-chair is a neat idea that comes of as a bit silly but I could definitely see it working in an army, especially one more themed towards the older and more campier models. However the parts that are identifiably Bonereaper Ossiarch are as awful as modt of that range and as such kinda ruins an otherwise fine model.

I think he looks pretty good for the most part. The only thing that bugs me is that if he was one of the elite, surely he’d be able to afford a full-length dressing-gown? Just looks a bit odd that his upper half is so ornately-dressed yet his bottom half is so... well, bare-bones I like the walking chair as an Undead litter though as a symbol of nobility, and at least he hasn’t got a Joker smile or face in his crotch...

well, but he does have that strange claw near his butt. Best not try and figure out what its function is.
There are things that are plain bad about this range, e.g. most of the heads. And, I still don't understand the bone molding vs the bone armor as a concept. But, as long as I don't think too hard (and ignore butt claw and crotch face ...actually all the faces), I like the overall look of the range.
Maybe somebody will come up with a paint job that solves the molded bones vs armor and then this range might grow on me. I like the Necrofex colossus from Monstrous Arcanum. I like the Nagash and Morghast models. I could be swayed ...maybe. Though these crazy dudes would always lead hordes and hordes of regular skeletons in my armies. It's not an army until there are regular joes. That line I will never cross.

When I painted my Morghasts I didn't really like the bone armor so I painted it to be steel, but I don't think that would work well here, the Morghasts had just the right amount of that armor in my opinion, these models have dialed that aesthetic up massively and I think they took it way too far.

I'm not sure what to make of this new guy. He gives off slight Astragoth and Slann vibes which is a good thing but I don't really like the walker.
It's an interesting sculpt at least.

Ok this is the first model I like from this range. The liche I mean, the walking chair is straight out of Monthy Python! But that liche would make a sweet diorama of some sort.

Hmmm. I still don't like it. I think the idea was good, but the execution was way off.
First, I hate the "Iron Lungs" armor. Of all the things to protect, I imagine long gone lungs aren't really high on the list. But as others have said, maybe with a different color scheme.
Second, the hand grabbing its own ass is stupid. I'm sure it has some really stupid rule to it as well (otherwise - WHY?!?), like "Protects His Own Ass" or something like that. And are those teeth just above it?? Like some weird mouth?? Sigh.
Third, the legs. Oh, the legs. It looks like the legs had a completely different sculptor for them alone. Not only that, but he was pulled off a 40K sculpt mid-job to work on this one. Too steam punk for my fantasy tastes.
Fourth, the pursed lips. So close. The head was almost good, then they had to go and make his teeth look like pursed lips.
There are lots of other elements here that just don't quite make it for me like the gems, the rib cage surrounding him (just go ahead and make it a Giant's rib cage!), the third arm (this guy's obviously a caster, so make it ethereal or something), etc.
Like I said, this was close, but fell flat for me in detail execution. I get the whole "We are an army molded from the bones of our enemies" concept, but that is a VERY fine line to tow before it just comes off as silly. I bet this will become another abandoned TK project for GW, when they see dismal sales for it.

I really like that cauldron man. That thing and the tyrant are going to join my collection.

I love the Tyrant and the scenery is ok. The ogres are the usual, but I don't care for new esthetic of the undead. Hopefully some people splits these up and puts them on Ebay.
