Uh, forgot to add. He also mentioned that "horde" as a rule is gone. What has appeared as a USR of the same name is something completely different. He also implied that charges give an extremely substantial bonus to initiative. I think he said that the mount's armour stacks with the rider's. Again it was very unclear and most of it was speculation as he kept repeating "I'm not allowed to tell you"; "I'm not allowed to show you" "I'll get in trouble for sharing this" etc etc (which to me defeats the purpose of even showing the physical book, but what do I know about youtube views and live interactions). The thing which annoyed me about the whole squarehammer thing was it was another review video when he then showed the book, so his mate was talking about the article and it started the same but it made a mockery of that as he’d part read the book and so just came across as a, ‘I know something you don’t know’. He also stated that he’d hardly read the book just some bits and would look at it in depth.

Hopefully we get a substantial reveal for the Tomb Kings tomorrow. Nearly everything has been about Bretonnia so far. I’ve been getting more excited with every almanac. The rule set looks good, I like every aspect apart from allies and mercenaries. Outside of tournament play I wouldn’t care as it means the smaller studio team can make some obscure units like how Necromunda has guns for hire.
If the pre-order date is the 6th January it doesn’t leave much time to reveal anything left that GW want to showcase before
On an unrelated topic, I’d like to see how they handle undead/daemons unstable rules and crumbling. Hopefully there isn’t the Hierophant or Vampires wizard handicap to holding your undead together. I don’t think that’s been mentioned so far. If it’s take causalities for how ever many points you lost combat by, then it seems harsh compared to other armies now falling back in good order or giving ground most of the time. On LD9 or LD10 a natural break and flee roll is unlikely, so there is less risk. Will they reduce the risk to multiple crumbling units joining the same combat 🤔

A rumour source on TGA claims it’s going to be available for preorder on the 6th January. From what I’ve read, they are semi-accurate with dates, so not totally non-believable, but salt needed.
It seems plausible because the Fnac leak stated Graham McNeil’s Lords of the Lance book will be available on 20th January, which means a two week pre-order window from Saturday 6th Jan. Then there’s SquareHammer and influencers receiving their copies to review and make YouTube content the last two or more weeks, so it has to be quite soon lol.
There’s 2 hidden TOW videos to be shown tomorrow, according to YouTube playlists (via TGA).

Jan 6th is far too early.
According to my many sources, it'll be by Feb 30th at the latest.

I also think January is too early. They have barely shown anything for the tomb kings models or rules wise. By the same logic, why would they release The Old World tie-in novel on the 20th January, more than a month before an end of February release. It would be weird and doesn’t make sense either.

I would be really surprised if pre-orders went up on Jan 6th. If that were the case, talk about missing your mark. Right AFTER Christmas.
"Sorry, Honey! I know we just spent a LOT of money on gifts for Christmas, BUUUUUT.....I just GOTTA spend several HUNDRED more dollars on plastic soldiers!" "No, no, I really love the socks you got me! But these weren't even up for order until two weeks AFTER Christmas! No, really! There's reasons...!"

Well that's only 5 books I need to buy then (i've got 2 evil armies and 1 good guy army out of the 9 core factions)! Suppose it solves my problem of how to support the game at launch without buying one of the army sets I don't need. Do appreciate the nod to the history of WFB - Forces of Fantasy was the 1st ed army lsits and Ravening Hordes 2nd ed (as well as the 6th ed get you by lists pamphlet). Origninal Rav horders was my first ever WFB rulebook purchase.

www.warhammer-community.com/2023/12/26/warhammer-the-old-world-the-tomb-kings-of-khemri-revealed/As we know, 2 x launch boxes - each has "a full 1,250-point army with dozens of all-plastic miniatures each. On top of that, you get a complete 352-page hardback Warhammer: The Old World rulebook, a four-page reference sheet, 20 D6 dice, one six-sided scatter dice, three weapon templates, two classic red plastic measuring sticks, and transfer sheets." Rulebook, and two separate books to cover the "good" and "evil" races that feature in TOW - those contain "Each army gets an introduction, a gallery of miniatures, a grand army composition list, a complete set of unit profiles (so you’ll have no need for a separate army book to play), special rules, magic items, and unique spells.": Then we have "Arcane Journals" - not Army Books. These are heavier on background, but also feature special characters, magic items, spells, a scenario per book, and thematic Armies of Infamy for their relevant race - so realistically if you're playing that army, you want it: New Tomb King models: Nekaph, Emissary of Settra Battle Standard Bearer Tomb Swarm They haven't confirmed the classic Tomb King kits that will be returning yet. Final news on the game: The Bretonnians and Tomb Kings are just the first two of nine factions arriving in the World of Legend. The rules for the other seven will be available at launch in Forces of Fantasy and Ravening Hordes – and look out for miniature releases for the other seven in due course.
Don’t worry if you’re more of a follower of Hashut or interpreter of the Great Plan – Legacy army list PDFs for the other seven factions from Warhammer Fantasy Battles will be available shortly after launch.
All that’s left now is to reveal the pre-order date for this avalanche in the World of Legend. We’ve got a suspicion it might be quite soon – keep an eye on Warhammer Community to find out exactly when.

I love the look of the tomb kings box, even though they're 'old' models, they still look fantastic. Hopefully the box isn't ridiculous money...
