I said before that 50 would make me nervous and now you go and make them 75 strong! Crazy!
On the Darkoath Chieftain maybe this was just a lighting thing but to me it looks like in three photos there is a lighter skin tone and in two there is a darker tone. Which is the final product?
Last, you paint very fast or you spend a ton of time painting (maybe it is actually a combo of the two).

dannytee Yeah, I'm very happy with that Chosen unit. I made it to use in the "Slaughter at Volganof" scenario from the back of the 8th edition BRB. That's what determined the 75 man size, but damn am I satisfied with the look of a unit that big. Talking about the Darkoath Chieftain, the darker skin color is much closer to correct. I had to leave my light box and lamps behind when I moved to New York, much to my dismay. I am a fairly fast painter, but I also haven't had a job the last month+, hence the huge volume. For today I've just got a little update, the unit champion for my ungor unit, Rage Mouse:

just make sure the standard bearer is no cat-man. That might get ugly.

I'm so envious of your Darkoath Chief eyes. They look amazing. I have no idea how you painted them so well they are so tiny!
That mega unit is ridiculous. Can you take a frontal shot of the unit?
Mouse is cute.

frozenfood Thanks, it's a wonderful sculpt from Reaper and I'm just really happy to finally have a use for it. Naitsabes Rest assured there will be no cat to eat him, I think he'll actually be the only non GW guy in the unit. grandmasterwang Thanks, the eyes on that guy did take a little doing, I made sure to paint them immediately after detailing the rest of the face so that I could go back and correct any mistakes I made (and I did make a few). My little bit of advice for eyes you really want to pop, such as on character models like this, is to touch them with a tiny bit of gloss varnish at the end so that they look wet and reflect light in a natural looking way. I will be taking better pictures of all my chaos forces soon, but I need to get a proper lighting set up squared away first. So, more and better pictures are coming, watch this space. So, you may have noticed that I've been silent here for a couple of weeks. Mostly I've been finishing a commission and looking for a job out here in Rochester, which is not going as well as I'd like. To that end, I am always open to taking commissions if anyone on this board has figures they need painted and are willing to pay for it, please feel free to drop me a message. I've also been painting a small series of single figures to sell through eBay. I'm sorry for the round bases, but they are are still Fantasy figures and chaos, so I assume I can post them here with worry: Lots of way to go and I've no idea if it will be a profitable venture, but there you go. Anyways, expect more frequent updates again in the coming weeks as I ramp up the last of my painting before DaBoyz.
