We'll see about that third gigamob Danny, maybe later. I want some more medium and small units. But maybe I'll get my hands on more Gobbos and make one after all.
I built the next set of movement trays and decided on 48 (8x6) and 42 (7x6) spears and 60 (15x4) archers. Also made one for 10 trolls.
I hear you on the small units/single models, they are coming. I just want to get the greater part of the regular Night Goblins out of they way as I don't want to have hundreds left to do at the end of the project.

Time for a small update! I try to reward myself with painting something fun alongside the most boring task of all: removing mould lines on all those plastic Night Goblins. Here is the Forgeworld Squig Gobba. Charming model.

I finished my Mangler Squigs while prepping the next two Night Goblin Mobs (42+48 spears). I've developed a love/hate relationship to these models. They are beautiful and full of character, but a pain to work with and with lots of small casting defects on one. Small enough that I decided not to make a complaint when I bought it, but there were so many of them that I kind of regretted it when I put it together. I did lose some hobby time to the 9th Age project now that I joined the Ogre team, but we're almost done with our first draft so I hope I can pick up the pace again as we move into closed playtesting.

Looking great as usual. Would you consider making the purple tongues a little brighter to provide more contrast?

Thanks. Funny you should mention it, I considered doing one more highlight on the tongues but decided against it. Maybe I should rethink that.

Awesome giant squigs. Really well done stuff, of course!
Anton, have you played the squib gobba using the forge world rules? I wonder what you think of them?

No, I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet but I plan to. IIRC those rules are a little confusing. Hm, can't seem to find them on my hard drive. That's bad. Does anyone have a copy?

Way too long since my last update ... I've been working on time-consuming stuff and I've been forced to do more real work than last month. And there's the 9th Age stuff eating up time as well. Anyway, here's Mother. She takes care of da boyz. I'll have the next Night Goblin mob finished soon enough. Some of them are in a competition on Da Warpath so I don't get to post them anywhere else until the voting is over. I've also started working on my first Troll unit. I'll take WiP pictures once I've started the green stuff work, right now they are just a pile of sawn off body parts.

Are you helping with the 9th age rules?

Thanks guys. mottdon yes I'm on the Ogre Army Book Committee. Which basically means I'm one of three people who come up with stuff for them and then the Rules Team cuts it out. J/k it's a very interesting design process with 16 army book teams of 3-4 people and the Rules Team of 5 lording over it all. Their workload must be insane.

Sounds like it. I know Once Bitten has released two YouTube videos talking about working with the Beastmen book and a Batrep with Empire. Not bad.
