Lovely colourful and thrippy ogres. They are a really characterful unit.
The hoofed forsaken is definitely worthy of being a Pestigor...even a Pestigor champion with those boggly eyes!

Thanks for the kind words peeperonies! While I have started painting the Dragon Ogres, as tradition dictates I've gotten somewhat sidetracked in that I also started working on some Nurgle Knights. While they won't have too many overt mutations the plan is to give their shields a fair amount of greenstuff love.

These are definitely the creepiest 'Dragon Ogres' I've seen.
They definitely have the size!

Gonna have my first game of TOW tomorrow so took the opportunity to take an army shot of what I'm bringing. Someday I have to get around to take one of my entire army.

Nothing I can add that has not already been said. Great job, you should really be proud of such a creative endeavor.

Rather than working on what I was planning I've lately begun to tinker with some more minotaurs. This time they are of the shield-carrying variety since that seem like the best approach for TOW (not to mention that I already have 4 with GWs and Additional Hand Weapons respectively waiting in the WIP pool). I'm having a hard time coming to a good decision for the banner of the standard bearer. I wouldn't mind trying to integrate the "bring your warpstone boulder to work-theme" I'm going for with my my minos but I'm not exactly sure in what way. One idea would be to have him carry it in the form of broken pieces hanging off the standard and his back-spines/ribs (I'm not sure if I'm going to try to go with a Blood Eagle-type thing with him or not) and another would be to simple have his boulder be some sort of warpstone icon that he carries on a pole. Earlier I was also thinking that his ironfist could be his transformed boulder but I'm no sure about that direction any more. Then again it could certainly be integrated into a bundles of splinters-approach. Edit: Adding their rolls and my thoughts on them: First from the left: Didn't actually roll him up but went with the flow when toying with bits for the others. I might end up rolling a couple of test characters to see if I fancy one of the results enough to use it as a springboard to take him into the next step. What I do know is that his warpstone boulder will be represented by his shield. However I'm unsure if it transformed into one once he proved himself worthy or if it was always a (tattered) shield. Second from the left - The Musician 4 gifts: 1. Chaos Armour 2. EotG - Chaos Weapon - one hander - not a sword - Weaken (955). 3. Vampire (945). 4. Familiar (GoN). The idea I have is that the exposure to warpstone has gotten so bad that it saturates his being, resulting in the material growing out of him and forming a protective layer of "natural" Chaos Armour. With a habit of using his warpstone boulder as an improvised shield chunks of it tends to break off from time to time, necessitating that he binds the splinters to his body to not lose them. The greatest such chunk has been refashioned into a crude club which he uses to strike his 'shield', creating an eery sound that cuts through even the din of battle. Having grown accustomed to habitual offerings of blood by the local beastmen herds and human worshippers of chaos before his familliar convinced him to let the Beast of Ind take him from his lair he is now forced to seek out alternative ways to satiate the thirst. Third from the left - The Standard Bearer 4 gifts: 1. Poisonous Bite (721). 2. Nurgling Infestation (GoN) 3. Trail of Slime (GoN). 4. GM's Choice (428) - Blood Eagle? Had a bit of a struggle with what to do with this one regarding his warpstone boulder and standard but I think that I've finally deciding on a having his "boulder" take the form of an icon of the eight-pointed star which doubles as a breaking wheel for an unlucky captive. I'm also strongly leaning towards doing something that resembles the blood eagle with his back spines by turning them into backward-turned ribs joined together by flesh exposing much of the interior of his back. Fourth from the left - The Champion 5 gifts: 1. Strength. 2. Hide of Nurgle (GoN). 3. EotG - Chaos Weapon - One Handed - Sword - Poisonous (668). 4. Horns of Nurgle (GoN). 5. (967). Tentacles (903). The idea here is that of a rotten minotaur almost lost to spawndom. His right arm has once been cut off and then reattached with crude stitches resulting in the arm taking on a distincly black necrotic colour which sharply contrast with the hue of the rest of the body. Following the change of his left hand into a mass of tentacles his sword has been submerged into a tentacle that oozes a potent poison.
