I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm hoping they do make ONE Beastmen model. The newer Kazarak is impossible to find. The Tzaangor are pretty cool Beastmen models. Like you I'd like more Beastmen models. I'd love a new epic general or special character Beastmen model. I've also been looking for a decently priced Khazrak model online. I'll be creating a Beastlord on a Manticore and using it in an upcomming campain some friends are doing. I would love something like that, but Beastmen don't even seem to get any love with AOS even. Most of the models are mail order only and most of the range is gone. I will be happy if they just give us the last Kazarak.

I may have a khazarak floating around I know I had some redmaws. Tzaangors and the Ogroid Thaumaturge (minotaur hero) are awesome. Skyfires are very cool. I just don't think I could get the Tzaangors to fit with my current Beastmen very well. I've been tempted to get a box and blend them into the Gors, but not tried it yet. The minotaur character looks a bit too daemon to fit, but it could work... Perhaps I should make that the base of the winged Minotaur I want to do... Thanks for the idea!

beastlordfred lots of tzeentch beastmen stuff released so far as you've noted. Skyfires/Tzaangor Enlighted, Ogroid Thaumaturge, and Tzaangors. IIRC through 7th and 8th ed combined for beasts only had 3 units released and all during 7th ed (razorgor, and the combined ghorgon/cygor kit.) In the AoS era beasts are doing better in terms of releases even if all devoted to a specific power. In addition I've seen some folks use the Khorgarath as the basis of a minotaur WFB.lexicanum.com/wiki/KhorgorathI'd bet we see some nurgle beastmen stuff at some point - they are going to need to do it for the nurgle blood bowl team (which as beastmen on it) eventually. Tzaangors can work fine in a beastmen army - the models rank up okay (not perfectly, but there are plenty of WFB models that are worse), and the scale matches. The armour and weaponry is too different to include them in a regular gor unit, but if you paint their skin/fur brownish, and give them some dirty armour, they'll fit in just fine as a separate unit. I've given mine brown skin, though I went for cleaner armour to fit in with my Tzeentch Warriors of Chaos. The Ogroid Thaumaturge doesn't match too well with Minotaurs - his head is far smaller than than the Minotaurs, so could look quite silly amongst them unless you converted that.

Heck yeah! Those would look awesome in a Beastman army! Maybe not the banner necessarily, but that's easily rectified.

I really need to get some Tzaangors for my Beastmen. Those look pretty good ranked up

I actually like the cavalry. Especially the riders. They look very "Atlantian". The only thing I really don't like are the "no eyes" foot troops. They just...I don't know...look weird. Maybe with different heads and non-white skin, I'd like them more... The drummer on the very back of the Turtle Platforms is another odd ball (again with the no-face, white skin). I do, however, like the rider's helmet (of the green and brown turtle). I wonder if these guys would be considered part of the High Elf book, or their own separate army faction. I hope they get a Kraken. That'd be awesome. In AoS world, it'd make more sense for this army to get Corsairs as well as Lothern Sea Guard and Skycutters...maybe. AoS has it all messed way the heck up anyway. Don’t you think the foot troops look very reminiscent of the half elf half dryad sylvanth sprite things?

They've shown a few more photos on warhammercommunity of the new models, and there's finally one that I might want to use in an 8th army: It's got the haughty elven look a mage should have, though something about the face (maybe the wimple-type thing?) looks almost human like a Bretonnian damsel. There's not too much AOS frippery to cut away - the silly turtle and coral would have to go, while the helmet-topper and staff-topper might be swappable. It'll probably cost £25 though, and I've no shortage of elven mages, so perhaps not. The only other fish-elf model that's appealed to me is the avatar of Mathlann (the guy surfing on a giant wave-cloak) - I love the ornate armour and trident; it could've made a great Lothern Prince - I just don't have the modelling skills to remove the cloak well.

yeah...that model looks human, it doesn't look elven at all. I had to take a closer look at it to realize that it's supposed to be one of those new deep-kin.
I think the model's face and arms are a little too fat and the bust is a bit large as well.
It's a human masquerading as an elf! SNEAK 100!

Another potentially decent unit previewed: Unlike the sea elf combat infantry, these lot actually look quite cool. They'd need a head swap to work, but could make a more dynamic High Elf Archer or Wood Elf Glade Guard unit. You just need to imagine them with a more normal flesh tone, and perhaps Eternal Guard heads.

I love everything about this new army....EXCEPT FOR THE HEADS!!! They all look exquisite, from the adornments, poses and even most of the colors GW chose for them. BUT THOSE DANG HEADS! They look SO WEIRD! The "caster" up there looks like she's asleep and these archer dudes look like Goblin heads. Just imagine them in a green tone with a wart or two on their noses. Goblins! And I assume that is a banner on the one guy up front and center? I'm thinking that these guys would look really cool with Shadow Warrior heads though....
But, like you Sedge, I see a lot of potential for this army. They could easily be new units for a Lothern Sea Guard themed army or some of them could work well with Wood elves (parts and pieces, at least). I've loved the concept of a "Dragon Turtle" for years now, and I was even thinking of using the one I'm getting from the Reaper Bones 4 Kickstarter as another "beastie" for my Lizardmen. But this will work!
