Yes, thx sedge! The skeleton rider and black coach looks really good! But the dragon! I love it! Going to dig a hole in the summer vacation budget...

Great posts sedge. Agreed on the black coach looking amazing. At first I thought the weird horse face wraiths were specteal skaven! I'm tempted to use the bellow spell template as a Warhammer monter. "Firejaws" 🔥 coming up. I can't believe they are doing a new version of Age of Sigmar already. It doesn't really affect me as I play a superior fantasy wargame but I'm a bit surprised it's coming so soon after the new 40k edition. Looking forward to seeing all of the undead stuff come out and if there are any new Mortarch kits.

Oh man, those spells are the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Black coach is a huge upgrade.

I quite like the idea of the spell things. I don't reckon I will like the prices..

Maybe they look a little cartoonish but I don't mind. If they are not too expensive I might pick them up.

There's another Warhammer Community article on the new undead models: www.warhammer-community.com/2018/05/14/14th-may-faction-focus-nighthauntgw-homepage-post-3/ - there's pictures about halfway down. Most are of what we saw yesterday, but they have an official photo for this long-faced character too: They've also confirmed there are more units in the release that haven't been previewed yet. As well as the new Mortarch, it looks like there's a unit of wraith cavalry to fit in with the mounted Knight of Shrouds character.

Some good undead there along with the dragon... might need to scrounge up some square bases for all that (not to mention the cash!).
What I found interesting was the mention of the second edition of AoS... which at three years of age might be the fastest turnaround in edition history?
Anyhow, It suggests AoS was the guinea pig on which they tested the W40k framework, and with the success of the latter they are consolidating the AoS ruleset to more closely follow in the success of its big brother.
Not that it matters to me, the only thing that does is how well I can fit some of these new releases on square bases and what I can proxy them with.

For proxying the Undead stuff, you've basically got:
Banshees - it looks like there's a new unit of them (though with the existing Banshee model, plus the ones off the Mortis Engine/Coven Throne kit, WFB players generally won't need more). Cairn Wraiths - the unit of them, plus various characters (such as the Executioner one) that can easily represent one. Spirit Hosts - lots of the little guys on a 40mm base, if you want an alternative to the wispy ones from the End Times release. Mounted Wight King - using the new mounted Knight of Shrouds Hexwraiths - the new cavalry unit similar to the mounted guy above. Black Coach - obvious
Most of those are well-served with good plastic miniatures above, though I'm sure that's never stopped any of us from buying more models before. The Cairn Wraith unit is one of the most useful, so you don't have all your wraiths looking the same - though the bandages around their eyes look silly. The mounted Knight of Shrouds is probably second most useful, as there's no decent mounted Wight King model, though he's ghostly rather than skeletal.
Beyond that, at a push, if you wanted your whole army to look ghostly, the little ghosts with balls and chains could be zombies, and the rat-like wraiths could be dire wolves.

Well, I'm in the same camp as askaval30. I don't care anything about AoS, but I'm thinking that some of those Celestial Beasts that those Sigmarines are riding would be a great addition to my Empire army. A new mount for a Grand Master? Or for a Battle Wizard? The sleeker one could even work with a Lizardmen army. New unit of fast, lethal attackers? Plenty of 8th Edition possibility in those two. The rest I don't care about.

The ghosts and other spectral units could fit the Army of Cairns of Kemmler that came out in a WD during 6th ed.

Another new Nighthaunt/Undead character previewed: You can see silhouettes on either side of a couple more characters yet to be revealed.
