I've got Kroak and Tehenhuain already. The old Slann doesn't appeal - not that I dislike the model, it just doesn't fit in with either the last or the new generation of Lizardmen. I quite like the old Kroq Gar - well mainly the Carnosaur, but I have the big plastic one already, so I don't think I can justify getting this one. The Skink Chiefs are all good models, particularly the second and third ones, but there are newer plastic ones that are cooler. There are some armies for which the metal characters from this era (6th - 7th) have more personality to them than the modern plastic ones, but I don't feel that with these. The Skink Priest is very underwhelming compared to the excellent plastic ones released since.
They're all damned expensive too.

HOLY SHIT - $33.50 USD for the skink characters?
I'd expect that from eBay....
Well...I'm thoroughly in the 3D print my lizardmen army now that's for sure.
Damn I really wanted some of those characters too

I ordered the classic Slann, one of GW's finest models...

No, just no: apart from being ugly, it defies verisimilitude even when allowing for the widest possible latitude.

A concept it stole from Warhammer Fantasy's Lookout Gnoblars. Definitely not my cup of tea.

will work perfectly well in the AoS, where it belongs.

I'll say this. I do like that the tower shield is shaped like an actual tower. I might make something similar for my ironbreakers.

I really like the shield. That's a great paint scheme. I wouldn't get the model myself though.

That "Ogor" looks like he hasn't been eating well. I think that's why I don't like the model very much. It seems a departure from GW's typical Ogre aesthetic. Maybe the model will grow on me in time, but I certainly don't care AT ALL for the human in the look out stand on top.

Smaller heads, leaner, no fat, and missing the gutplate. It's not the WFB Ogre look. Still, at least he's brought a warm snack along with him.

It's funny you say that but I grew up with the old 3rd ed metal Ogres and I struggled to get on board with the 'newer' mongal/fat bellied style they went with. It's one of the reasons I don't own an Ogre army. I actually prefer this model to the more modern fantasy ogre look. I still wouldn't get it as it looks more like an oversized bretonnian peasant

I still wouldn't get it as it looks more like an oversized bretonnian peasant I'm right there beside you. The classic metal Ogres (Jes Goodwin, Bob Olley) will always be my preferred Warhammer Ogres. The Ogre Kingdom fat ogres who only care about eating are dumb. I'll give GW points for that new AoS ogre not being fat. But like so many new AoS models it doesn't have the correct Warhammer feel to it. I might use it for a conversion though.
